Does any one have any good food tips for building muscle? is it true that high proteir diets can help build bigger muscles?

    to build muscle, you need: building blocks (proteins), energy (calories), and stress (exercise). So yes, you need protein, but a high protein diet won't do anything for you if your body doesn't think it needs to build muscle.

    EDIT: as a more direct answer to your question, try 1-1.5g per lb of lean muscle per day. I use protein shakes for convenience.

    Protein is essential, no matter the exercise that you're doing. Building muscle will help you burn more calories, so like the above post says, you need to make sure you're getting enough calories. And one very important point, you need to replenish your body immediately after your workout. General rule of thumb, however long you workout, you have approximately that amount of time to replenish. Protein shakes are great because you can measure out exactly what you need in terms of proteins, carbs, fats, etc... and you can put anything into the blender that you like. If you don't eat in this time frame, your body will begin to eat away at your muscles and limit the gains you have been making through your workouts. Good Luck!!!
