Biggest Loser challenge--team 9

Thought I would post something this way and see if it works rather than sending multiple email messages. I'm fine with being team leader. Does anyone have ideas for a name yet? The only ones I've come up with are Biggest Losers (duh) and Go Big or Go Home. I'm not very creative! Anyone else?

How about "introducing ourselves" a bit? I'm Kate, 37, a wife and a mom. I've been married for 11 years and have a little girl who just turned 3. I'm a nurse and I work 7a-7p 3 days a week.
I'm definitely an emotional eater. Always have been. I started losing weight in June 2010, dropped about 35 pounds, then we moved and I started a new job and almost all of it came back on. So I started again this past spring and so far have lost 61 pounds. My highest weight was 288.4. I'd love to get into the 160s so I'm about halfway there.
I'm excited to do this challenge! October has my daughter's birthday and then my wedding anniversary, so I got off track a little and am looking forward to helping this bring me back. I don't exercise on the days I work but I try and make up for it on my days off so I can contribute a decent number of calories!

Ok the introduction.
Well I am Zoe and I am 30. Recently married no children. I lost 50lbs before my wedding, But have fallen of a bit so and here to kick myself back into gear and then maintain. I am currently at 200lbs and goal weight is 140 - 150lbs. So at least 50lbs to lose.
I have also joined a Zumba challenge so that will help with this challenge also.

Hi guys- My name is Lindsey. I'm 24 and I go to school fulltime and work. I when I first started college I dropped about 35 pounds really quickly just because I was so busy and didn't really have time to eat...but then a lot of stuff happened in my life which ended up with me gaining all of my weight back. So now I'm trying to keep a healthier diet in general and also yo incorporate exercise much more often
Ever since that freak snowstorm last Saturday my gym has been out of power so hopefully it will be back up soon and I'll have more calories burned for our group0 -
Nice to "meet you"! Zoe, I've always thought Zumba sounded like so much fun and such a good workout. I'm jealous...I need to find a class like that!
What's everyone's exercise routine? What do you do to burn the calories?
I'm doing Couch to 5K (just started week 3) and then I also walk on the treadmill some. (We have a treadmill at home so I do a lot on there.) I also try and do Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred DVD a couple times a week. That's rough! Still can't make it through level 1 without stopping!

Zumba is a great burn, I do not go classes that regularly but I have Zumba for the Wii. We also have an elliptical at home so I will be using that more. I also have a wide selection of DVD's incl 30DS, ripped in 30, hip hop abs and turbofire.
I do want to do C25K but want to start that in the new year.0 -
hey everyone, I'm Nikki and I'm 29 and I'm like a probation officer for kids in the UK. I'm on MFP because my jeans suddenly all became very tight or didn't fit and I was getting very paranoid about putting on weight. So although I'm not actually overweight, this is to help me get back into my jeans in a relatively controlled fashion. Also I have always been able to eat rubbish and not put weight on (until now) so I figure it's time to try and start eating more healthily.
As for excersice up until a month or so ago I was trying to do it as much as possible...then I went on holiday and spent most of my time on a bus so wasn't able to to do much working out and since getting back I've not been very good at getting back into it.
I am casually doing the C25K programme but I'm not really giving it my full attention so I'm still doing the first few sets of directions. I also go to my sister's house once weekly and try to do a 30ds workout or one of her other dvds like no more trouble zones. I try to get to the gym a few times a week too and my person at the gym has recently set me up on the weight machines; apparently just doing cardio is not a good idea. So hopefully I'll contribute a few hours of exercise each week to the group.

I have really hard time introducing myself so il do it simply
im crystal im 17 im home schooled so theres not alot moving around going on
im 195lb and i want to lose 75lb so i can weigh 120 i want to be able to feel comfortable in confident in
my body not having to worry that i have fat rolls on my back XD im hoping to lose within a year so i can start college

Hi crysta, unfortunately it's a closed group (sorry) which started 2 weeks ago and will run until Christmas time. All of the teams have been sorted already so I don't think you'll be able to join in at this point. That's a great number of cals burned though! Good luck with the 75 pounds0
