This won't work if you're trying to eat food you don't normally eat. 1200 calories means 400 calories x 3 meals a day. Start out by eating what you eat now, changing nothing, but using MFP to log every calorie. See where you're starting from. Then decide where you could reduce portion size, where you could eat certain foods less often, where you could replace convenience foods with things you like that are healthier. Don't dive into an unfamiliar food environment. Make gradual changes until a healthier, lower calorie diet just feels right to you.0

Like was said, there's no set menu that will get you exactly 1200. You may eat twice a day, three times, four times. Just keep track of what you eat and if you eat out, you're pretty much guarenteed to go way over. Doesn't mean you have to give up favorite foods...just change them. For example, a Big Mac is 540 calories. You can get a veggie burger for 120-200 or maybe a turkey burger if that's your thing. Same with all "going out" foods. Yes, even most restaurants or others you wouldn't consider to be that bad. I like www.allrecipes.com for a lot of my food-making but there's also a lot of books out there (online or physical books) that have low-calorie meals for any type of diet - meat-lovers, vegeterians, vegans, even religious-bound ones. You're sure to find something!0
