    I would really like to join this thread. I have gotten out of the routine of tracking my food, I often think I can just do it in my head, ya right. That's what I did yesterday, so I don't have anything to post. But I'm going out tonight and knowing I'm posting my food tomorrow will help me stay on track.

    Anything else you need to know about me, or anything I need to know about this thread before I start? I didn't read all 6 pages, so if there's something I missed, please fill me in.

    Thanks!!

    Welcome to our group Nlongenecker! :flowerforyou: We have just been posting our food diaries/exercise logs whenever is most convenient. Some people prefer to post the morning after, some right when they are finished for the day. Whatever works for you! :)

    I think I do need some instructions on how to post a picture though so I can just put my journal here.

    You can either copy and paste it and just delete what you don't need (the numbers show up all weird).

    OR

    You can get a photobucket account (free, photobucket.com), do a 'print screen' (button somewhere on the top right part of the keyboard) paste into a paint document, crop, and then upload to photobucket and just copy the link here. You have to change the IMG's to lower case.

    It sounds complicated, but its pretty quick once you get used to it.

    jdelisle how to I post a picture of my food log like you did?

    You have to sign up for photobucket (its free, and I only use my account for this kind of stuff). While on your food diary, you press 'Print screen' (which should be above your right hand number pad above your keyboard), open 'paint' and hit paste. Save it. Go into your photobucket account, upload the picture and it gives you a IMG code. You just change the IMG's to small img's. It sounds complicated but its actually pretty simple.

    Nlongenecker these are the instructions jdelisle posted for me. I just copy and paste and do a quick minute of editing so the info makes a little more sense. Welcome to the group!!

    Well, it wasn't too bad of a day. I did go over, but it's not the end of the world. Today is a new day. Looking back at yesterday I could've chosen better and probably fewer snacks. But things I am proud of are that I pushed myself exercising, I did my cadence intervals on my bike for a half hour and I drank all my water. I also got a lot of fruits and veggies in - 8 servings when 5 is my goal:flowerforyou: Good job me.

    Hope everyone has a great day!

    Just out of curiousity does anyone have a particular "good" food your addicted to right now? I am addicted to Coco Wheats. I've had them every moring for a week now. They are 190 cal, are chocolaty, and keep me full. What more could I ask for?

    Well, it was a low day, but I went over the day before (I need to throw out my leftover buttercream frosting, I've been eating it on graham crackers!) I don't normally eat so low, but just wasn't super hungry. I've got some sinus thing going and my ears are plugged from it, as well as a sore throat... Kinda stinky!

    Your meals sound so yummy! I'm going to have to try these Coco wheats!

    My favorite 'good' foods right now:

    * Almond Milk (chocolate is soooo good).
    * Homemade popcorn
    * Skim Mozza Cheese
    * Baked Tostito Scoops
    * Dark Chocolate (is good for you in moderation!)

    I've been experimenting with bunch of homemade salads too. So far my favorite is the chinese salad I made with crunchy steamed noodles, baked wontons, grilled chicken, orange slices, crushed almonds, green leaf lettuce, sesame oil, sesame seeds & white wine vingegar (rice would have been better but I used what I had kicking around).

    Exercise: I earned 269 calories today from walking.

    Today I went to my husbands uncle's place... he is honestly, hands down the best cook I know. He served us 3 courses, it was really nice. I think that I did fairly well though! I watched my portions and only had a bit of everything but was still satisfied! I am so proud I didn't go over on my calories!

    As a bonus, it was a beautiful day so my husband and I walked over. My dog was at home in the yard so I frequently had to make the 10 minute walk back and forth to check on her.

    Drank 64 oz of water 4 days in a row! :drinker: Buying a 32 oz water bottle really helped!

    Your Daily Goal: 1,504 (1200+304 Exercise)
    Remaining: -184 :sad:

    OK, so I didn't really want to post this, but I knew I had to, to be honest with myself. It wouldn't have been so bad if after dinner I would have only had one piece of pound cake or even half. But I know what I was thinking - I worked out really hard, I deserve a treat. I just could've handled it better. But I did get all my water in. And I really pushed myself exercising. I've been trying to gradually build up to jogging/running, doing intervals of walking and jogging. Yesterday I did my best mile (completed in the fastest time so far). So that made me proud. It's the first time I've been outside in the nice weather and the trail I was on had quite a few incline/declines, so getting a good time on it was an even bigger accomplishment for me. Today is a new day, with new goals - I will acheive them.

    Everyone have a great day.:happy:

    I was so excited when this thread was mentioned, and haven't been on MFP since. LOL!
    My husband has been very ill, hopefully getting better now, keeping my fingers crossed. He has lost 30# in 5 weeks. So, he is on a very high calorie diet plus 3 Ensure Plus a day. I just didn't feel right, buying all my low cal foods when he isn't supposed to eat that way. So, I've just been winging it for the past month.

    I'm back now, I figured I won't be any good for him if I'm not any good to myself.:wink:
    So, I'll be posting my foods as of tonight!

    I really missed logging my foods on here, and the message boards, too.
