I cannot get to the gym for 4 days on the trot (including yesterday), and am worried about getting back to bad habits of non-attendence (I normally hit the gym 5-6 times a week). I walk for a couple of hours when I don't usually have access to a gym, but feel the need to do something more. With this in mind, I hit Sports Direct for a workout mat, and purchased 2 workout DVDs; Pilates Weight-Loss Workout for Dummies and Christine Bleakley The Workout (they seemed the less offensive options).

My question is, has anyone used these? are they any good? and as I am fairly fit, should I hit the advanced sessions on the Bleakley DVD?

  • I started out using 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels. Loved it only 9 dollars at Walmart. I then moved to Ripped N 30 and same price. I got really in shape after Ripped N 30. She's hard but well worth it.. I was 155 now 130 meet my goal back in April and now maintaining and loving how I feel..Started out a size 12-4. So go for it.. :) Have a Happy New Year

I love anything by Jillian Michaels. They are all intense workouts. So many times the dvd workouts are wimpy, but you can really get the heart rate up with these, plus the resistance training ones make you feel like you have actually done something!

As mentioned above, they are about nine dollars.
