I started MFP when I "gave up" sugar and carbs for lent last year. I'm 51 pounds down but I WAS 64 pounds down last September. I don't want to yo-yo again. I can't. Maybe I should give up giving up for Lent. Thanks for listening :) Hopefully those of you out there that have yo-yo'd can give me some motivating words of what worked for you to get back on track again!!!

I think it all depends on what caused the gain. Holiday foods? Less exercise in the winter? Work commitments, travel, having to eat foods you normally wouldn't, in order to keep others happy? Medical issues? Etc.

I'm working on shedding a few extra pounds I put on late last year too. Wee. =)

Not religious, but I do live in Louisiana. I "behaved" during the holiday season so I could be a little bad during Mardi Gras week since we have guests coming from IN.

Ash Wednesday is 2/22. I will spend that day recovering from a homebrew induced beer hangover. Gotta love living in the south!
