My favorite sweet treat is a sugar-free iced mocha with skim milk. It's two shots of espresso, sugar-free mocha powder and skim milk over ice. I usually indulge once or twice a week and I always add it to MFP. However, lately, as I've been getting healthier, I've been wondering if it's harmful.

Whenever I drink one I have to go to the bathroom.... Almost like it has a laxative effect. Is this normal?

To some people caffiene has a laxitive effect.. I see nothing wrong with a sugar free mocha with skim.. I am thinking of getting one myself. as long as you know how many calories you are putting in your body and budget yourself right , there is nothing wrong with a sweet snack , enjoy.. umm where do i get one?

It's most likely because it's coffee. Tons of people use caffeine to help keep themselves...uh.. regular. Try it decaf and see if you have the same problem.

Check the nutritional facts on the mocha powder - sugar alcohols which has little impact on blood sugar have a "cleansing" effect as well as caffeine

I eat plenty of fiber so I don't need anything to make me regular but I don't want to do anything harmful to my body either! It is bad to have the sugar alcohols, d93515?

RIchfit2012- I go to a local coffee shop but I know Starbucks also has a sugar-free, fat-free iced mocha. They use sugar-free syrups instead of powder though. I think powder tastes better mixed in the espresso, as long as it gets stirred really well.
