I never thought that losing 10 lbs could make me feel so good. Now that i can see the weightloss it motivates me more.... i am not ashamed of my body... as you see my before pictures... I can't believe that i havent been on this site sooner. I am very grateful for the success i have made and i am super glad that i was introduced to this. To all the people that i have seen on this site, it has been a true inspiration for me to continue to press forward in my weighloss. My stepdaughter has even joined in and its kinda like a game for us now. I am super excited and i cant wait to see where i go from here.... THANK YOU MFP FOR EVERYTHING! I feel so good......

Way too go! What is your goal weight lose and how many calories are you eating a day? I ask only because I was losing weight at about 4lbs per week when I first started and now I am on week 5 and both week 3 and 4 I only lost 1 lbs each week. I am set to 1200 calories a day and I am wondering if that is too few calories as it seems like most people are eating about 1500 calories per day. I am thinking about increasing my calorie intake but am afaird it will make me stall even more in my weight losee. I only have about 15 more lbs I need to lose but still....0

Congrats to all on your progress so far.
I'm not surprised by 10 lbs in 10 days, because you know that isn't 10 lbs of fat. You have to have a calorie deficit of 3,500 to lose 1 lb of fat and I doubt that you are burning 3,500 calories more than you eat each day. But it does still feel great to flush out the sodium and other nasty stuff when you are eating well and drinking lots of water.
For the one who asked about too few calories. MFP has me at 1,200 calories a day (and a 1 lb/week loss), although my doctor suggests 800-900 calories a day if I am eating good lean proteins and healthy carbs (to get closer to 2 lb/week loss).
I had a good food day today and closed out my food diary at 686 calories and I felt good all day. Right now I'm enjoying a cup of hot herbal tea and I'm going to crawl into bed with a magazine. Watching TV is a snacking trigger for me, so I'm not going to do that!
Best wishes on your health and wellness journey!0 -
that's awesome but just be aware after the "initial" weight loss, it's much harder and takes alot longer.......keep up the good work!0
