Is "Clear American" Flavored Sparkling Water too good to be

Ooh, the Golden Peach. So freaking yummy! In fact, this reminded me, I have one in my work fridge. Think I'll crack it open!
I do notice I will get headaches from the aspertame if I drink more than one per day.
I'm going to Walmart today (it's a rarity, I try to avoid them at all costs) and may have to check at least this flavor out
This is one of the only flavors I've found that I like from this brand. Tastes like a dreamsicle.
My son likes that one. I think it's too sweet.

You're going to have to decide who to listen to: random Birkenstock wearers on the internet, academics who have actually researched the subject, or media quacks like "Drs" Mercola and Oz. Personally, I'll take real science over quackery any day - and none of the scientific evidence suggests aspartame is "poison" or "nasty stuff". Know what? None of us are getting out of this alive - and there's plenty of other things lined up behind whatever aspartame you ingest waiting to do you in.
My personal choice is to minimize aspartame and sucralose in my diet, and opt for items sweetened with stevia and monk fruit and erythritol. I like the Bai line of products, which are sweetened with a combination of stevia and erythritol. I usually have a Bai in the evening. I personally don't get gastric distress from erythritol, but other sugar alcohols do bother me.
Regarding "organic" -- it means whatever the person using it wants it to mean. The ingredients in your Clear Water all look pretty innocuous to me. I'd enjoy it and quit worrying.6 -

Diabetics need artificially sweetened carbonated beverages to survive? That's hilarious.
Psst... People who are trying to keep their weight under control also use artificial sweeteners to keep from dying. For instance, I used to be morbidly obese. Literally means "you could die from how fat you are." Either camp out when there's a delivery coming, or pick another stinking diet soda. And try not to be so salty. It's making you thirsty.

FYI: Kroger makes similar water. So if Walmart is out, diabetic guy can go to a Kroger store. Both Kroger's and Walmarts are WAY better than La Croix and much cheaper.
I like to mix mine with Deep Eddy's favored vodka in the summer. Or I even use the blood orange flavor for a lower calorie sangria.3 -

If something makes you feel bad... Don't take it in. Otherwise every fluid you take in is hydrating you. Your body breaks down all liquids into usable hydration for your body. You have kidneys, a liver, and spleen for a filtration system. A lot of people point to phenylaline as a "bad" ingredient but its as natural as it comes; being found in all eggs of every species.
Remember NO MATTER WHAT YOU DRINK it counts towards your hydration intake. The 8 cups of water mythology was disproved more than 6 years ago. They found persons drinking equal amounts of caffeinated beverages had the same relative hydration as those drinking filtered water.

You can't possibly be recommending some flavor of this death liquid, are you? (Aren't we talking about water with aspertame and flavors?) Anyway, cherry-limeade doesn't sound good to me. I think I liked the kiwi strawberry, and there's some brand (from WF, no aspertame) I like that is cucumber.

All of the beverages being discussed have water in them: coffee, tea, diet soda, flavored water.5 -
Personally I drink copious amounts of coffee, moderate amounts of diet soda (3-4/week maybe?) and larger amounts of Lacroix, Dasani or some other brand of flavored, unsweetened sparkling water (usually at least one a day). My favorites are Lacroix lime and orange and Dasani lime.
Oh and club soda and lime Absolut is amazing.
ETA: not bothered by artificial sweeteners. I use just the teeniest bit of liquid Splenda in my coffee (or a half pack of granulated if I buy coffee out). Pepsi Max, diet A&W root beer (my favorite), Powerade Zero (orange), etc.. All have a place in my life.3 -

I drink lots of tap water, but have started drinking flavored seltzer water when I just need to have something in my mouth. I’m willing to take a chance on 12-24 ounces a day.
I think there are 3 things that will always be bad for you: smoking, bacon and salt. Everything else seems to change periodically. I’ve given up the smoking and bacon (ok, most of the bacon) but salt is tough to avoid.6 -
You do realize that sodium is an essential electrolyte for your body, right? I doubt you'll get any argument about smoking being bad for you. Bacon is most likely harmless in moderate, reasonable amounts. Salt is necessary, but again in reasonable amounts. Context and dosage matter.

sodium (or rather iodine that is derived from it) is critical to body function. doing a low iodine diet prior to treatment for thyroid cancer is a regular occurance and i've felt fuzzy-minded after only 3 days of it (and you do it for 2 weeks prior to treatment and then another week after to make sure that the treatment worked)0
