I'm heading up to Camp Wainwright Alberta for the next two weeks. Anyone live around or familiar with this location? Anything to do around there or is this place straight up BFE? Do I need to bring my long johns?

I'm not from Alberta but it's normally a little cooler there compared to Southern Ontario (where I am).

Evenings are still pretty cool. Bring warm clothes or buy lots of beer.

    Have fun! :flowerforyou:

Sum canadian truckers came down and picked up our equipment from Kansas to ship up to Alberta. They were talking about cold it was. I wasn't sure if they were joking or not. I guess I'll prepare for some cold/wet conditions, from what it sounds like. I think we're staying in tents and sleeping on cots (military training), so I was concerned how cold it got at night.

Yeah, bring warm clothes just in case. It snowed there last week! Yikes!

I'm not in Alberta but our weather here in Manitoba is similar. We had a snow storm today :noway: So friggin' ridiculous.

    Good luck, have fun!

yep, definately bring the long johns.
I just looked for the next week, looks like highs are 15-20C (59-68F) and lows of 4-6C(39-42F)

Your up north closer to Edmonton, the farther north, the colder it gets.
Beer will be ok left outside at night

Your looking for a TV to take with you or when you get there?
If you have internet, PM me and I'll send you a link to watch some games live.

Rad. Thanks man. I'm not sure what access we'll have up there. I'm not sure if we're gonna be on post or at some remote site. A couple guys tossed some tv's in with our equipment. If i have internet, I'll give you a shout and those links would come in real handy. Thanks again!!
