    ooooooo, BX, great list!!!!

but only one that I can't quite concur....

    28 days later....

this movie took FOREVER to get to the point. he seemed like he was wandering in "deserted-land" for about.........28 days.

once it got to the point, it was much better, but I was having a REALLY hard time sticking with it through like 20 minutes of...where is everybody?

I agree, they did drag out the first 30 minutes of the movie but it could have been worse

    How about cult films like
    Evil Dead
    Donni Darko

haven't seen Donnie Darko, but have been thinking of putting it on the Netflix...
    tell me about it?

Donnie Darko has an aweseom sound track for starters. It's basically a "what if" type of movie with a 6' Rabbit that travels through time. Kinda of hard to tell you more about the movie without giving it away sorry to be so vague. I'm waiting for the lastest one to be shipped out via netflix.

    Isn't Netflix Awesome.

yeah, I  netflix... they think I would give it 4.5 stars, so I figured why not? I added it:bigsmile:

My favorite movie of all time is "Natural Born Killers". Everyone always gives me that blank, vacant stare when I say it's the best love story ever.

I so agree with you, aweseom love story. I get the same weird look when I say that as well. You are not alone.

I also get the same look when I say "The Crow" was a love story as well

I cried because of it. He was a rising star that was literally shot down. So sad

I Am Legend WAS sooo good, but I was so upset at the scene with his dog. That wasn't in the book, so I wasn't prepared for it, and I was sobbing.

okay Yoji Yamada is a Japanese director. He's like a modern day Akira Kurosawa. You NEEEEEEEEEEEED to check out Twilight Samurai. Its got Hiroyuki Sanada which you've
probably seen in The Last Scientologist (Samurai- Tom Cruise) and he was in Rush Hour 3.
This is such a great movie. Hands down, probably my favorite movie at this point. Great story.
Family movie. Anyone can watch this and enjoy it. Good action. Romance. Drama. Check it out.

Then he did kinda a samurai-epic trilogy with two other films.... The Hidden Samurai and
Bushi No Ichibun (American title was Love & Honor). I didn't care much for Love & Honor. But
    The Hidden Blade kicks *kitten*.

Also, if you are into crazy fantasy/samurai action. Look into Gojoe: Spirit-War Chronicle. It stars Tadanobu Asano who you might have seen in the more recent movie, Mongol about the story of Ghengis Kahn. Wild movie. There's this 1-on-1 battle scene at the end that really intense.

There's quite a few Zatoichi films, but a remake was made by Takeshi Kitano called Zatoichi: The Blinde Swordsman. He actually plays Ichi the Blindman. Freaking good.

You can find all of these on Netflix and probably Blockbuster.

We had it for about a year or two, then we dropped it a few months back just cause we were in a budget crunch and needed to cut a few things out. That was the first thing to go cause we weren't using it as much. We started using Redbox, but their selection blows unless your looking for new releases. Netflix is great for catching up on recent tv series or obscure movies. They have a great selection of foreign films. When you check out Twilight Samurai, tell me what you think.
