Should I log my daily walk to campus in my exercise diary?

I was wondering this. I walk to the university campus five days a week from my apartment. Its a little under a mile away, meaning that I walk almost two miles every weekday, not counting the walking I do in between classes.

Should I log this as exercise, or consider it part of my daily routine? I took these walks into consideration when, while i was making an account here, mfp asked me how active I am.

However, the calorie goal is set right at my bmr, meaning any exercise I get is adding to my calorie calorie expenditure.

Just looking for a bit of advice

Thanks :)

I would set your activity level to lightly active. I walk about that much (maybe a little less) every day, and I have a bodymedia fit. My net calories here seem to match up to my BMF to lose 1 lb per week when I set it to lightly active. Sedentary is too low for most people.

Well, I would think if you made it say lightly active, then you wouldn't include them, but if you made it say sedentary, you would add them.
I made it say sedentary and I walk to and from work everyday (2.6 mi a day) and I add that in, makes me feel better :D But I don't know for sure I'm probably misunderstanding how this works.

My activity level is set to slightly active. If my calorie goal were slightly above my bmr, I wouldn't worry, and I'd just forget about logging the walks. However, as it is I'm not very good at even meeting my bmr (not good, I know, but I'm trying), so adding more of a calorie deficit to diet is not a good thing.
