Say Barbs that was a nice history lesson. That was horrible. What happen to the BF?.

It seems that I mispelled Poached . Well this old lady just can't spelled. Never could. My brother has the same problem. So did my Mother.. I know that am not alone.,

Gayla, glad that Dave is on your No S diet with you. And sorry that Neil sizure has increase some. .It much be nice to be able to live without A/C. We just had central air put in 10 years ago. Before that it was Window units. I don't know how we made it before A/C. We sit out in the yard a lot and drink ice tea.
I'm glad erry is not the only one to do his own laundry. He did'nt like the way I hunged his clothes. And He counts his socks before he wash them and count them when he puts them up. He wear them so it don't hurt him to do his own laundry. [ Wish he would do mine]

OK Phoebe you been gone long enought. Where are you?

    Hi Marie-

I hope you know that Ellen and I were just teasing you about your "porch" eggs. I have had some good typo's since I joined this site, so you are not alone.

As for what happened to the guy that I mentioned in my prior post. He was another employee of the company I worked for and based in UT, while I was in Oregon. He was never a BF, but we definitely enjoyed talking on the phone, and while meeting in person was nice, he was a "cowboy" through and through, and I never saw him in person again. He was also at least 20 years older than I am, so it is quite possible he is riding that great range up in the sky by now.

Another incident I remember from the 1980 Mt St Helen's eruption was the story my great aunt told. She and my uncle had a farm and raised sugar beets in the Yakima Valley in Central Washington. That Sunday morning, my uncle was out running a tractor in a field, and when he made a turn and looked west, he saw a sight that scared him right off the tractor and on his knees in prayer.

There was a humungous boiling black cloud advancing over the Cascades and into the valley. Within it were flashes of lightning (the silica particles are great conductors of static electricity), and once it arrived in the vicinity, day became night. (In Spokane, a picture in the newspapter, taken at noon looked like midnight, complete with street lights.)

My aunt was listening to the radio and when the word came of what was heading their way, she jumped in the car and went out to the field to warn him. (This was "BC"--before cellphones:laugh: ) Imagine her surprise when she arrived to find him in prayer next to the tractor. He was quite relieved to learn the cause of the amazing sight was not the end of the world after all!

I remember an eruption that occurred before "the big one" where the ash cloud rose about 30 or 40 thousand feet in the air, and was easily seen from downtown Portland. I was sitting on the patio of a restaurant having a drink with another co worker, and we sat with our backs facing to the north.

Suddenly someone said, "hey look!" We turned around, and the sky was filled with boiling clouds to the north. The texture and shape of the clouds can best be described as looking like large chucks of dirty cauliflower. We sat there and drank our Margaritas and were thankful that the clouds were not overhead, but at least 50 miles away. Mercifully the wind was not blowing toward us.

Well, I am up too late again, so good night all.

    Good Morning!

TGIF! Day is off work today so I have some additional company (not including the cats!). Nothing much on the schedule for the day. Today is Kempo workout day so that will be fun. I need to run to the store for a few items and that should complete my errards.

Weaklink- thank you for your thoughts. I have enjoyed a great career. VP, director, operations manager, etc. I have a great college education and I speak Mandrin Chinese. I knew this one would be rough but I did not really have a grasp as to the depth of this resession until now. It is brutal. I worry more for others than I do for me. I know that I will eventually find a position, but there are many others that will really struggle. What are these people that are out of savings and have exhausted thier unemployment benefits going to do? I worry for these people and thier children. Anyway on a happier note, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and I got up out of bed without any assistance! LOL So it is now up to me to do something with this day!

Marie- Whats going on with you this weekend?

Gayla- anything fun on tap for the weekend?

Everyone else- you are all in my thoughts! Have a great day!

Hello everybody. jEFFREY if your cats like chicken they would love the dried chicken tenders we get Sammy in the dog food treats. Caliecat just loves them the only treat she will eat but she has to have part of one everday. .

Barb--- enjoy your stories of the Northwest. Send some pictures.
I knew you guys was cutting up but I bet my poached eggs will taste better this morning since now I know how to spell it. I spell the way I hear things, since I have been hard of hearing all of my life I don't hear things the way other people do. I didn't get my hearing aids till I was in my 40's. Now i can't see good either. Oh well thats life.

I just had my morning walk in and ready to eat.
    See you guys later.

    Good Morning to all

Jake fixed lunch yesterday. He remembered the salmon chowder he had in a restaurant and decided to make something that might be similar. He started with store bought roasted red pepper and tomato soup, roasted some zucchini, butternut squash, onions, and mushrooms in the oven, then added the vegetables and a can of red salmon to the soup. In another pot he made corn on the cob. The lunch was ready for me when I got home from my line dance class where I had been asked to teach a dance. As you know, it's a lot easier to do something in the back of the room than it is on stage with everyone watching.

The line dance teacher liked the dance so much that she asked me to teach it again to her class today.  This time Jake won't have lunch ready for me when I come home, because he's going to play golf.

We had a friend over yesterday to install a program and do some other stuff to our computer. He does the work just as a friend and loves to talk so when he comes it's a many hours adventure. By the time he left there was time for dinner and a short visit to the dog park before it got cold and dark.

    hugs to all:heart::heart:

    Good Morning Everyone!!

Hearing the stories from the Mt. St. Helen Volcano was fascinating. My son lives in the Portland area and they took me up that mountain to see the volcano. The ride up the mountain was terrifying especially since I sat in the front passenger side where there were no rails on the side. Glad my son is a good driver and got us there safely. I was in awe of the volcano and since it still smoulders I wondered what we would do if it decided to blow while we were there. With all the modern technology I think they they can predict pretty close when that would happen, but I might be wrong. We stopped before the drive up to watch a movie with sound and movement effects about the explosion in 1980 and it was just so horrific. So many people died and so many were too stubborn to leave their homes. Seeing footage from the news was unbelievable. I have forgotten the name of the lake that was formed but Barb I hope you know what I am talking about. I remember something about one old man who said he wouldn't leave and would rather die, does that ring a bell with you? My son and his family didn't live there in 1980 but it is such a part of history it really amazed me. Thanks for sharing with us.

Marie, never apologize for your spelling, there are lots of people who spell by just sounding out the word, including my husband. Believe me we all have little things that we can't do but we manage. Have you tried your trike again or has it been too hot? You are eating healthy and you are our life line here, so you just stay comfy and healthly. We love you kiddo.

Barbie, your Jake is such a great guy, my husband doesn't cook at all, not even on the grill. He is so good in so many other ways though, I appreciate him for all he does. Daisy Mae has cheered him up so much and he is smiling a lot more these days, so I am so happy we got her. Good job on the line dancing gig, you must be good if they want you to teach. The only line dancing I have done is either at a party or years ago we took our kids to dude ranch on a yearly basis. There we did line dancing and some good old fashioned barn dancing. It was great, but I was much younger. I still have more energy than some of the young people in my life, they just won't listen and understand how important exercise and good eating is for you. :noway:

Jeffrey, I am excited about the prospect of you getting a new job. You are such an intelligent young man and good looking by the way, I would think you are great on an interview. Speaking Mandarin Chinese is impressive, what made you choose that as a second language? Did you ever post those before and after pictures and maybe a closeup of you and Day. You I think are the biggest loser, so you are our role model. Give Day a hug from all of us and tell her we are so happy with her results.

Gayla, when I was little we never had a/c, and we never complained. We would open our windows and put a fan on and enjoy the summer winds. (ah good old Frank Sinatra) We kids, would leave the house in the morning and return for dinner, never worried about the heat. Even took the street car to the beaches by ourselves. Those were the good old days, when things were safer. Hope Neil is back under control with his seizures and you can enjoy your trip. :flowerforyou:

Missing Elli, BGamma, Phoebe, Sandi and Beth. Hope all is well and you return soon.

Awfully winded today, sorry, just making up for those days I missed.

Thanks Sandy, you always cheer me up. Nope have not been on my trike again yet. The days have been cooler but still not able to get on and off to good. But I am taking a walk before each meal, with my walker, my balance just not working too good.

Barbie---Mmmmmm Jake meal sounds so good. Tell him to post the recipe for us. Is it kind of a chowder? It would be nice this winter. I think I will have baked fish for lunch . canned spinach and a salad. I like cold spinach out of the can.

Barbs what are you up to today?

Gayla, How is your garden? The only thing we are getting is cherry tomatoes, but they are good in my salads About the 15th of August I will replant for fall. How is the NoS diet coming along. I am sending those Scales back with the monitor. I have been using them for now and just got tired of them calling me if I missed a WI.

Hi Phoebe, Elli, Sandi[ hope you are feeling better now]Beth, and Big G.

    See you guys later.

    Hey Marie,:flowerforyou:

Just a quick post to tell you something I have learned about pizza. Check the labels between the typical personal size pizza (NOT a Smart ones or other brand that is trying for lower fat, etc. and you will discover that you can get a more filling pizza, with less fat and calories by trying the Red Baron French Bread individual pizzas. The come two in a package @ Walmart, and in my area, cost about $3.33 per package. There are several flavors, including an all cheese one that you could add your own toppings to. Since the crust is french breade, it is lower in fat, but volume-wise more filling. They are a guilty pleasure of mine, so I thought I would share. The sodium isn't super low, but not outrageous either, compared to other frozen entree's.

Have a good night. I am just on here for a sec as I have doggies to walk and I am going to dinner this evening in a little bit.

Hello to all:flowerforyou: , and "Keep on Truckin" Phoebe!!:flowerforyou:

Thanks barb, I will have to check that out I had the Digiono personal pizza. !/2 of it. I kept my calories in check and my carbs, it was good. I have tried those diet ones and they just don't cut it for me. I may tried making my own using pita bread as a crust. Will have to check out the carbs. I am on insulin and really have to keep a close tab on my carbs. Will check out the french bread ones. Thanks again. Marie

cut squash, onions, and mushrooms into bite sized pieces, put them in an oven safe dish and roast in oven with a bit of spray oil at 350 degrees F. for about 20 minutes.

drop the tomatoes into boiling water for about 30 seconds until the skins split then put them in cold water, then peel, core, and cut into bite sized pieces.

Hi everyone! We had a busy day in the city but got lots of errands done and will be staying put for the weekend. There is so much fresh fruit available we are loving it. It is supposed to be a very hot day tomorrow, hope we don't melt in our non a/c house.

Marie -- You are sounding a bit down. It is so frustrating when our bodies don't want to do what we want them to do. Dave was giving me a hard time about my walking speed today (in the most lighthearted of ways). I figure at least I am walking even though it may be slow. My legs just get more and more tired as I walk even though I am so consistent with my exercises. I am glad you get to enjoy your evening walk with your guys. Does Jerry still take Sammy for a ride on the trike? I have 2 little green tomatoes and a few blossoms on my plants, they look a bit sad for this time of year. Th NoS wasn't perfect today but was a long stretch from bad. The rest of the week has been great.

Phoebe -- So sorry that I missed you. Just in case you check the posts, know I am thinking about you.

Jeffrey -- Nothing exciting in our house this weekend. My kids are with the in-laws this weekend so I think it is just we three.

Barb -- Pizza sounds yummy -- one of my favorite foods.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone. Keep smiling Gayla

Good morning , well my 1/2 of the personel pizza didn't spike my blood sugaar up. Just got to used portion control.
Sound like you had fun out with Dave , Gayla,And no Sammy wont get in the basket no more. He has to walk right beside me.I think he is a momma boy.He loves Jerry but I think he thinks he is a portector of me.I have come to think if I get rid of these 50 lbs. I will feel a lot better. I have read so many people say after they lost their weight thtir back quit hurting. So that is my goal now to lose to feel better., not just to look better. My eggs in the morning keeps me going till lunch time pretty good. And no carbs. Plenty of protein too.and a piece of diet toast and diet jelly for my en.joyment.

Alice will be out tomorrow to work on my computor.
and we will go out to eat. I called Target to see if their supercenter is open yet and they said soon. But not yet. I was hopping alice and I could go there.

I got the Dallas Cowboys 2009 copy off so I know when and where they are playing. ready for the games to start. We will see some pregames next month then in Sept. the regular seasons begin. Can hardly wait.

Time to go get breakfast and I am ready after our little walk.See you later.

    Good Morning Everyone,

Beautiful day here today, had some slow rain last night so things got watered pretty good. Going to a late graduation party this afternoon so hope the weather holds.

Little Daisy sure keeps me busy, she is very active. She is still in the nipping stage and driving us crazy.
She is doing pretty good housebreaking, but still a couple of accidents. Puppies are so cute, but training is a pain. She is so darn cute though it is all work it. My husband is smiling again and that is all that matters.

Gayla, I hope there is a breeze with your hot weather. Try to stay cool, if possible. Hope Neil tolerates the heat as well and has a good day.

Marie, the problem with growing older is everything hurts and starts falling apart. We do our best to take care of ourselves, but when we go to the doctor they usually say, well when you get older this hurts, that hurts etc. You should be proud of yourself just for being on the computer, you are keeping that brain active and that is important. I am not ready for the alternative yet, so I will live with my aches and pains and keep on track with diet and exercise as we all are.

Have a great Saturday everyone and hopefully enjoy good weather.

Hi everyone! We have a nice breeze today and so far it is staying cool in the house. I did the Wii Active and thought I had changed it to avoid some of the leg things that I am not ready for but there they were. After a few squats my knee was not happy so I stopped the program and went back to the start and reprogrammed it. I realized that I hadn't saved my plan so I was back on the regular one. I did about half of the plan that I made and I was sweating so decided I must have had enough for awhile. If my knee isn't too bad later and it isn't too hot I may go back to finish it. It doesn't seem to know what easy is!! I do want to work but I don't want to reinjure anything. Thursday I spent over 2 hours in the garden and was feeling it when I stopped but the pain didn't last so I was very happy about that. Dave kept telling me to stop but I had set out what I wanted to do and darn it, I was going to do it!! My roses look much happier.

Marie -- I followed your lead and had poached eggs for breakfast, so good and stayed with me a long time. Fruit for lunch and I am good until dinner. I am just boiling some water to make some tea so I can have iced tea this afternoon. I should have made it last night. I am sure missing my coffee but even I will have to admit that my tummy feels better. I know you and Alice will have a great time together tomorrow. Enjoy your lunch.

Jake -- Mmmm, the soup sounds yummy.

Sandy -- Sorry that your husband has been sad but so glad that Daisy brings smiles to his face. Enjoy the party this afternoon.

Hi to everyone else. Have a great weekend and keep smiling. Gayla

Good evening---this has been a lovely day----a beautiful walk on the trail in the morning, a visit to the dog park in the afternoon, some pleasant work in the garden---I have some vases of cut flowers in the house now, some time on the exercise bike, a visit with friends, and some relaxing in front of the TV.

Jake has never been a cook. Since we’ve been eating healthy he has participated in daily discussions about what we’re going to eat. A few months ago he started cutting up vegetables for salad and made that his regular job. He bought a new knife and knife sharpener for the job. When we started having roasted or grilled vegetables he took the job of vegetable cutter. Since he likes mushrooms and I don’t, he started cutting up mushrooms and roasting them to add to what I cooked. This salmon chowder was his first actual whole meal preparation. It was inspired by something he ate in a restaurant recently. We talked about what he would do and then he did it by himself. I was very impressed. The line dancing I do is at classes in the daytime. There’s an instructor who goes over the steps. the other students are men and women of all ages, sizes, and shapes, and many skill levels.

:flowerforyou: Jeffrey----you have amazing skills. I’m interested in what inspired you to learn Mandarin Chinese. I wish you the best in your job search.

:flowerforyou: Barb----Thanks for all the information about Mount St. Helens. We were far enough away in California then so we weren’t directly affected like you were. You have a great memory.

    :flowerforyou: Gayla
we don’t have air conditioning but we have only a few really hot days each summer. You’re right about appreciating all the fresh fruit in the summer. I’m glad you’ve been able to work in the yard without too much pain.

:flowerforyou: Marie----some of the problems I had with my back have lessened as I’ve lost weight. I hope that happens for you

    Hi Barbie

I am on here late because I was out at a barbecue at my good friend Thomy's house. Her husband just returned from working for 3 months in Saudi Arabia, and we had sort of a "welcome home" gathering for him. He is orginally from Jordan and has a cousin who lives a couple of hours north of where we are. The cousin came down for a quick visit today, and by the time he was finished, they bought all kinds of food and he did all the cooking!! He is an EXCELLENT cook--told him he could stop teaching at the college and open a restaurant. When he left, we joked that we expected him to return next weekend!! He grilled chicken, steak, salmon, vegetables. The tomato cucumber salad with fresh mint is a favorite of mine since my friend's husband introduced me to it right after he arrived here a few years back.

Jake's recipe sounds very tasty. I guess the sodium is a little high due to the soup, or maybe canned salmon has lots of sodium. I am going to do a little research and see if there is a way to lower the sodium content of the recipe. If I come up with anything, I will post it.

I hadn't thought about Mt St Helens much lately, but was surprised by how much I can still remember about it. In the aftermath, the mudflows, AKA lahars, that flowed down from the mountain were very dangerous. The Toutle River is crossed by I - 5, and there is video of all kinds of debris and mud and ash flowing down the river. The bridge was closed in order to make sure the supports had not been compromised. Entire houses were washed downstream as a result of the mudflows.

In an earlier post, someone mentioned remembering a man who wouldn't leave. That would be "Harry Truman" the owner of the lodge at Spirit Lake. He flatly refused to leave and was a familiar figure on local tv, being interviewed about his steadfast decision to stay in his home at Spirit Lake. I think he was at least 75 years old, and a very outspoken "curmudgeon." The lodge was buried under tons of ash and debris and his body was never found.

Another man who lost his life was working. His name was Reid Blackburn and he was a photographer for our local newspaper, who was very focused on reporting as much as possible about what the mountain was up to. That Sunday morning, he was shooting pictures, and when the entire north face of the mountain fell in a landslide, which then enable the explosive eruption to blow to the surface, he had just enough time to get on the radio he was using to communicate with the outside world to announce "Vancouver, this is it!!" He was miles away from the mountain, but because he was located on the side that the eruption came from, he was in the direct path of the pyroclastic flow--that rush of superheated hot gasses that incinerates everthing in its path.

The first time I went up to the Johnston Ridge observation area, what struck me as most amazing were the trees. You may have seen pictures. They are all laid over in the same direction, bark and branches stripped off, as though someone with a giant comb came along and "parted" them like hairs.

As for that no A/C, I just saw the weather report for the Seattle and surrounding area--thanks to Comcast, we get a news feed from one of the Seattle area stations. (Otherwise all our tv is from Oregon, and sometimes they act like there is nothing happening north of them and the world stops at the Columbia River. It is nice to get Washington news.) Anyway, it appears you are going to experience the same heatwave they are predicting for our area. 'We are in for 100 to 105 degrees F on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, with 7 days of temps all above 90!! I feel for anyone w/o A/C and/or a pool. I think it may be time to experiment with my idea for a Margartia snow cone!!

I thought about that idea plenty this afternoon. It was about 85 outside when I did my 5 miles. I wanted to have some calories availabe to do justice to all that barbeque food I mentioned earlier. Also I was a naughty girl and had dessert last night with my ahi tuna and salad dinner.

Tomorrow it is going to be in the upper 90's and the plan is that any walking is going to be done EARLY, or else it might not get done.

Look like we ae all in a heat wave. We will get some relief this coming week

Jake, barviecat tells us this was your first real meal that you cooked. Well you done a fantastic job including the nutriction value . II don't know how to do that on my throw together.

Barb--What a menory you have. I would have forgotten those guys names a long time ago. Love reading your post.

Gayla,,,,eggs are a gal best diet food. I eat a lot of them. I really like devil eggs, except I cant't peeled them very good. I Any suggestion any body? would never take them to a family picnic for they wouldn't look so good.

Sandy, You always look for the brighter side of life. And seems to be on the go all the time. Keep it up and you will never get old. Daisy seems to be the center of attention. Just like all of our animals. Sammy thinks the world revoles around him and as far as we are concern it does. He has decided he want go walking unless I go with him. He will go about 2 houses down with Jerry and just sit down and wait on him to come back and come on home. I got out last evening without him and Jerry said he had a fit and had to let him out and came running to me. He learn that at the obedident school and also learn what NO! No! means that the only thing he learn there beside playing with the other little or big dogs. He has a good menory, Don't forgeet nothing.

Have a good Sunday all, Marie

The funny part about Jake's soup is that when he wanted to make it, I suggested that he use the roasted red pepper and tomato soup because it was one of the few remaining processed foods in our house. I thought it would be a good way to use it up. He thought of using canned salmon rather than fresh because that would easier. He liked it so much that while I was at line dance he went to the store and bought four more boxes of the soup because he couldn't find the one we had. So now, instead of getting rid of the last box, we have four of them:laugh:

Marie----I log everything I eat. That's why we had all the nutrition for the soup. I'm the one who listed every ingredient on MFP

The dogs want to go to the dog park and you know that they are the most important people in the house. I'll write more later
    hugs:heart:

barbiecat when you have time you will have to teach me how to do that on MFP. I tried the calories counter.com and it never did look right. But I don't think that has too many sodium in it for I have got me on 1500 a day and that will still give me quite a bit. Being a processed food I wouldn't want to do it very often. You and Jake are my role model. Keep the good work up.

    Good Afternoon,

Late start this morning, went to Church then my son came to install something on my computer for me so I haven't had a chance to post today.

Thank you Barb, for reminding me about Harry Truman's name. How sad was that? There was some story about Spirit Lake also wasn't there? It has been years so my memory doesn't retain as good as yours. I do remember the trees as you describe them, there was just so many things to see and be informed about. What a piece of history that was, and very, very sad. Thank you for sharing with us.

Marie, I try to stay positive, it doesn't always work, but when things go bad, I ask myself how important is it? No use in worrying about tomorrow, because what you worry about might never happen. We use a lot of slogans in Al Anon and one of my favorites is Let Go and Let God. That way the control is not mine but His. :flowerforyou:

Barbie, I can't wait for Daisy to have all her shots so I can bring her to the dog park. She loves playing with other dogs and I would like her to stay social. Your pets are lucky to have you and Jake.

I am actually thinking of taking a little nap while Daisy is sleeping so I will try and catch up with you later.

Hi everyone. Hope it is a good day! We had a gorgeous rain today, it is still cloudy so there may be more. It got to about 87F yesterday but the house stayed comfortable.

Marie -- I wanted to come on and give you the answer to peeling eggs. I love this method and find it works great. Just highlight this url and place it in the top line that tells you where you are. Then press enter. Hope that works for you. Otherwise go to Zaar and look for this recipe by name or number.

Going to bed early tonight, tomorrow we are going to Six Flags Great America and will be gone all day.
Hope everyone has a great Monday and I will get back to you on Tuesday. I don't go on any rides but I go to watch the four year old while the two older girls go on the coasters. It is a long day and I will be exhausted, but I bet I will walk miles for my exercise.

    Have fun today.

Have a wonderful time. We haven't been to Six Flages in ages. I used to take my kids, don't think I ever took my grandkids tho. I used to like to ride some of the rides. We got green stamps at the store when we bought groceries and could get tickets with them. The kids really help me keep up with them. Do you guys remember the green stamps?

Now for the weather report. Cloudy and somewhat cooler. No rain yet.

no plans for today. I think I will go to Walmart and do some shopping and some walking in. Our Target supercenter has not open yet. Should arpund the first of the month. I don't think they will be as cheap as Walmart.

now time to get breakfast and get this day started.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Good Morning to All,
It is supposed to get really hot today.

We have been staying out of the stores lately except for groceries. After those two trips, we're on a "spending diet". If I stay out of the stores, I don't buy anything.

I'm off to line dance this morning. We dance in someone's garage with the garage door open and I always dance by the door where the sun shines in so I'll wear my lightest clothes.

    Have a happy day.

Hi everyone! It is quiet here today. We had our Monday excursion today and best of all I had my pedicure. I can't stop looking at my toes -- I picked such a nice colour this time. Last time I wasn't happy with the colour I picked but I do like this one. If you look at the emoticons it is very much like the 'devil' when he turns dark, a little darker but has some sparkle to it. Hmm, doesn't take much to make me happy!! We have sunshine and some wind today. We had a nice lunch at the restaurant where my son is the chef and he had some time to join us. I had a small Greek pizza, lots of veg and a bit of feta cheese with a basil pesto in place of tomato sauce. It is made on a very thin crust and baked in the forno oven. I did share some with Dave so think I did ok. Neil's new shoes have been irritating his heel so we were back to the shoe maker. I hope it is fixed now. If not, he has another idea but hopes this will do the trick -- me too!

Marie -- Did you and Alice have fun yesterday? Enjoy your walk today.

Sandy -- Hope you are having fun at Six Flags!

Everyone else enjoy your day. Gayla

gayla, Alice did not make it out yesterday. She had to work Saturday and had so much to do at home. But she will be out next week. Her and another supervisor takes turns going in on Saturday to watch out for the employees. They cut it out fro a couple Sat . but had to start back up again. Don't know exactely what they do has somthing to with our electric service.

We had a very good rain and looking for some more. Nice and cool tho. But still have the air on. for it is just too hot without it. But anyway Jerry and I had a nice day yesterday. He cooked another small brisket outside and it was good. We will be eating on it for a while.

Well guess what I got to do. 5 years is up and time for another colonophy. My doc called today and i go in the 26 of August. Not looking forward to that. I was hoping I was thru with hospital for this year. Well might as well do it and get it over with.

    Have a good night.
