I have 1 on my stomach and lost 80 lbs and it looks the same, but I never carried weight in my stomach.

Ive actually lost count of how many tattoos I have... And none seem to have been affected by my weight loss.. Most of my back is covered...

If youre getting it now, and youre worried about what it will look like after you have lost weight, I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

It''s gaining after the tattoo is already there that can stretch mark it and ruin it. I just covered up my own old ruined stretchmarked tattoo with a new one.

I only have one on my wrist, so I can't speak for it. I am getting one in 10 pounds on my bra line area as a reward for hitting 25 pounds!

Awesome, thanks everyone. I think I'm going to get it small on my upper back (this is my first tattoo by the way, birthday gift from my tattoo artist friend) and my weightloss present will be a half sleeve :)

Upper back shouldn't be a problem. I have one on my upper/mid back and it hasn't changed with my weight at all.

I have a small tattoo ( 4" ) on my hip. It started out as a lovely phoenix, and is now a fat bird :/

I think GAINING weight is worse for tattoos than losing.
