Butt work outs?

Back in the day I was pretty fond of my assets. Now its just a bummer looking in the mirror.

Can anyone recommend a good workout, that doesn't require going to the gym. I need stuff that I can do at home. I don't own any weights or anything like that. I heard squats and lunges were good. I'm just not sure how often a day I should do them. I keep reading so many different things on the net and I keep getting confused.

I wouldn't call my butt flat, it got some meat on it...it just needs a rounder shape/lift to it.

So if anyone has any suggestions or routines they do... let me know, thanks =)

   Apparently you've got a good sense of humor - great puns up there, ya had me laughing.

You can stand at your kitchen counter or behind your sofa and hold on, doing reverse leg lifts (extend your leg behind you as high as you can with your knee only slightly bent) - do 5 or 10 reps each side, and keep alternating... that will help firm and lift. :flowerforyou:

I like dead lifts too.... they are for your hamstrings but give you definition between your butt and your legs... good luck

Do any of you know how often a week you're suppose to do these?

I tried this just this week: take a 3lb weight or lower, and lie on your tummy. Place the weight between your feet (ankles crossed), and raise your feet towards your buttocks. You can start to feel the burn after about the 10th rep or so...I like this one.

I like the last exercise tip, how often do you do that?
  • Not to toot my own horn, ok maybe a lil bit, but I have an amazing butt and I get many, many compliments. Exercises I did to get my immaculate butt are many variations of different lunges, squats, various hip adduction, abduction, extension, circumduction and bi directional rotation movements. For an extra lean looking firm round butt do upwards of 12 to 20 reps per exercise to momentary muscular fatigue. You can hold onto dumbbells for most exercises if you are doing more than 20 reps keep increasing the weight.

Do this and diet and you will get Glutes of DOOM!
