LOL I'm a 29 yr old who hasn't had a serious boyfriend in FOREVER....so during Father's Day dinner this past weekend, my mom tells me I should join a singles club, and get a boyfriend....I just had to laugh. I think she's sick of seeing me single LMAO

Haha I think parents these days think it is so easy to get a boyfriend. Back in their day, there weren't cell phones, internet, Facebook, Twitter, online porn, email, text, etc. It is soooo much harder these days! My mom always worries about me and my sister even though she doesn't exactly say so. I'm trying hard but it is it very hard these days!0

I joined a singles activities club when I lived in Phoenix. It wasn't honestly a great way to meet men but I made a ton of GREAT girlfriends. Most of the men in that club had no social skills so they joined as a last desperate attempt to get married (and no I don't think all are like that, but this club warned me in advance!). I wanted friends being new there so it was great. I went kayaking, dinner and movies, dancing in the clubs etc.... so it was great for that. Good Luck!0

Obviously you could try online dating. But what about joining some groups on meetup.com? That isn't specifically dating, but at least you might meet some new people in your area.0

I thought about joining a singles club. I heard their advertisements all over the radio. Went to be "intereviewed" and then WHAM - it would cost me $1500 a MONTH to be a part of that club. Um hello??? that is almost my entire PAYCHECK!!! Yeah I had to walk away from that0

i was under the impression that cell phones, internet, Facebook, etc. make it *easier* to find a boyfriend/girlfriend. Access to a larger pool of potential mates, etc. Why is it harder now?

to be honest singles clubs don't work. like the other lady said shes been in those so I have. it doesn't get you a boyfriend. inthis case I wouldn't take mom's advice.0
