I do feel like my calves are big, but I do have a medium build. On the plus side, I'm a mesomorph, so I gain muscle easily. :D

We are measurement twins! Except for the height difference and thighs.
    5'2"
    139lb- Ultimate goal 125-130lb
    Waist 26in - Goal anything less than 25. I started at 32
    Hips 42in - Goal 39-40in. I started at 48
Thighs 25in: Make sense since I'm shorter and with the same weight. I started at 28
    calves: 15.2in: Don't really have a goal. I started at 16.25in
I'm sure with your height those measurements look better on you. :)

Be kind, please. We are all on our own journeys.

@slender7777 -It seems like you're underweight hopefully you're going to be able to gain some weight so you're at a more healthy weight. Good luck!

I am not sure there really is an 'average'. You would have to compare yourself to someone with not only the same biological stats but also the same activity level and gene pool. That being said, I have no idea. I wore a 14 or 16 a year ago and wear an 8 or ten now; my legs are still bigger than most women. They are closer to average where I work out though.

I don't think my calves have changed much with weight loss. I must have lost half an inch if that.
    Calves: 13"
    Thighs: 19"
    Weight: about 110lbs
    Height: 5'2"
    Body fat: No idea

i've always hated my calves. there seems to be a decent amount of muscle there, but it's just not toned at all

Considering those stats, have you considered recomping and adding a bit of muscle weight on? You're quite underweight.

    5' 2.75"
104.5 lbs (this morning...ranges within 2-3 lbs of 105 in either direction)
bf% 18-21% if my Tanita scale is to be believed...I would guess nearer the higher end.
    waist 24"
    hips 33"
    calves 14.25"
    thighs 20.25"

I have been told my legs are "sturdy"

It is interesting to see how people of similar heights and weights can have very different measurements, while people with similar measurements may be very different heights and weights.

I always think I have big thighs but I’m starting to see that maybe none of us do? Crazy what our heads do to us!

    5’5”
    118 lbs
    13.75” calves
    20” thighs

Not sure about my BMI or body fat is but I’m naturally pretty muscular so I think I’m in the healthy range.

We all have body goals and after reading some of these comments I wanted to share some tips for reshaping calves as it’s been my focus lately.

Aside from weights and squats, to make calves bigger, you can wear heels and walk on the balls of your feet as much as possible. This will also tone your thighs a bit and work your glutes. Also, sprinting and climbing or walking/running up high inclines will build up your calve muscles.

To lean out legs and shrink the muscle just do the opposite. Wear flats, avoid walking on the balls of your feet and flexing your calves. Also, Pilates, yoga and long distance running will lean your legs quite a bit as well as the rest of your body.

    Hope this helps ☺️✨

My calves have always been my bane, they are very muscular and look large for rest of me.
Often told you have big calves. I don't like wearing skirts because of this.
I now realize it might look so because I am short, and calves large proportionately to slim thighs?
I carry my weight on my mid section.

BF % is somewhere around 26%

My lower half is the bane of my life and I can not shift the fat no matter what I do. My hips are huge and flabby as is my bum so I'm just destined to look terrible.

Come September I'll be doing 90 minutes walking minutes walking a day for 5 days
a week plus 2 hours in the gym 4-5 days a week so maybe I'll see a difference then. At the moment I'm gymming 6 days a week and hoping 3 days of body pump a week will blast some fat too 🤞
