New to craving sugar...

Recently, I started adding a little bit more protein to my diet to balance out some potential blood sugar issues. I think I'm hypoglycemic, but am waiting for a doctor's appointment to confirm that. I have been feeling better (less issues with blood sugar) since I increased my protein intake, but I've been having these new sugar cravings- and I have NEVER been a big sweets/sugar person:huh: . I have been on MFP since March and rarely go over on calories "just because". I do end up going over on certain occasions, but I decide that in advance, and that's my choice to make. Lately, these sugar cravings have caused me to go over on calories much more frequently and it's very out of character for me.

Obviously I will discuss this with my doctor, but in the meantime I'm wondering if anyone has ever had anything similar happen? Thanks :flowerforyou:

    My blood sugar is all kinds of crazy. When I'm craving something sweet I have a little thing of smarties. 10 calories for the whole tube, and they're a really strong flavor.
