Hi there,
I'm 26 (almost 27) and about 157cm tall and currently weighing in at 61.4kgs (started out at 62kgs). I started eating healthy and exercising for about three months now and seeing very little weight lost but I do feel smaller and my clothes is fitting much nicer but with my strict diet and exercise shouldn't I be losing some weight? i've outlined my diet from the last three month below.
I started my diet with;
Monday - Spin Class (PM)
Tuesday - Body Pump (AM)
Wednesday - Power walk on treadmill 40mins and then 20mins light weights (AM)
Thursday - Rest day
Friday - Power walk on treadmill 40mins and then 20mins light weights (AM)
and consuming approximately 1300 calories and still saw very little results.
Getting very demotivated with such little results I heard about hypoxi from a friend and joined that and was advised to do less weights I even started Oxyelite Powder with the hope this might help.
I changed my exercise regime to;
Monday - Hypoxi (PM)
Tuesday - 30mins HITT and 30mins light weights (AM) then hypoxi (PM)
Wednesday - 30mins HITT and 30mins light weights then hypoxi (PM)
Thursday - Rest day
Friday 30mins HITT and 30mins light weights
and also consuming about 1300 calories (even less on some days).
Monday - Saturday
Breakfast: oats w/ lite milk and banana or; jalna yogurt (100g) with museli (20g),walnuts (10g) and banana
Snack: 2golden kiwis or apple or strawberries
Lunch: tuna salad with avocado or; chicken (100g) salad (little to no dressing)
Snack: 15g almonds
Dinner: 100g protein (chicken/beef) 100g sweet potatoes and 150g broccoli
Water: at least 2liters a day
Sunday
Cheat day
From my understanding i'm doing everything I can and still not seeing results. Please help!!! any advice will be greatly appreciated.

so what is "Hypoxi" ?
HIIT on alternate days with rest day in between is probably enough exercise to lose weight.
Does the cheat day get carried away ?0 -
Sometimes feeling smaller and clothes fitting nicer is what we get for a while. If you want to just lose scale weight, the best way is to probably not work out at all- just walk a lot or do some other calorie burning activity that doesn't stress the muscles. But you probably want the better, healthier, smaller body. Ditch the scale or be resigned to it maybe catching up on its own time. Good work!0

Hi yarwell,
Hypoxi is an exercise that is conducted in a vacuum machine which apparently helps increase blood circulation to the lower half of the body to assist in toning and weight loss.
To answer your question about my cheat days - i have to be honest some days i do get a little carried away but most cheat days i try and stick to just a cheat meal. do you think i should cut out my cheat meals completely, maybe?0 -
when you say 1300 cals, is that total or net? with that amount of exercise you should be eating your exercise cals.
also, there is no need to do 'light' weights, lift as heavy as you can!0 -
You may want to increase your calories just by a little bit and get an extra protein snack in there. Are you eating back your exercise calories? You may want to start if you're not losing anything.0

Hi mcarter99,
the scales are evil! i was just concerned if there was something i was doing that was not right. hopefully the weight will catch up! thank you for your advice0 -
Hi TavistockToad,
1300 is my total amount. i tried adding back my exercised calories and also found that it didnt move the scales so i went back to my 1300 as my total to see if there was a difference. none! :grumble:0 -
Hi Natty0506,
I initially ate back my exercised calories and found no difference my my weight so i went back to my 1300 even with exercise some days i do exceed 1300 by a little (50-100 calories) cause i find myself very hungry. do you think i'm under eating?0 -
It does mean that you're eating at or very close to BMR - have you calculated that and TDEE? I haven't tried the eating more to weigh less approach but a lot of people do seem to get good results from it.0

hi SuffolkSally,
i have tried calculating those figures but i find that the internet provides me with different numbers and it confuses me so i'm not sure where to start in this regard.0 -
"The Hypoxi Vacunaut is a state of the art, almost sci-fi looking device aimed at reducing hip and abdominal fat. The constrictive waist and hip band combines low pressure suction, high pressure compression and exercise to target area specific fat deposits."
 :noway:
I think I've heard enough.0 -

You want to lose a total of 4kg? That's about 9 pounds.... not much at all.
First off, set your weight loss goals to a half pound a week (does it still show as half "pound" if you're using metric?). Eat your exercise calories. Make sure you get some resistance training. I'm partial to lifting heavy. Get adequate protein... change your settings to at least 20-25% of your calories from protein. Track your progress through measurements, how clothes fit, and ESPECIALLY photos from all angles in a bathing suit or undergarments. Ignore the scale.
When you're this close to your goal weight, you might not see much if any of a change on the scale. You're NOT going to see dramatic drops on the scale. It just doesn't happen when you're already at a good weight.
But you can see dramatic changes to your body with minimal weight loss.
I'm about 11 pounds different (5kg?) in the first and second pictures, but virtually the same weight in the second and third.0 -
OF COURSE it does... they're the ones selling it!!!   :laugh:0 -
Hi LorinaLynn,
wow! you look fantastic. you go girl! thank you so much for posting those pictures. it has help put things into perspective :smooched:
The reason why i'm stressing over the scales is because i weighted in at 52kgs in 2010 (getting into a relationship and letting myself go and kicking myself for it now) makes me wonder why i cant seem to lose the 1kg (2.5pounds a week) like i did previously and to answer your question about the metric value it is 0.5kgs
My diet is very high in protein already; on workout days I have whey protein and a casein protein just before bed as well as stacking that with a fat burner supplement -oxyelite powder and all my vitamins (fish oil, multi-vitamin and vitamin c)
I find that being on a high protein diet the weight lost is slower but my body is looking leaner but i'll do as you advise and throw out my scales and base my results on measurements instead.
Thank you again :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi Kara_xxx,
at first i was like you and very skeptical about this but i have had a few friends do about 15 sessions and losing up to 50cms. so i thought what the hell! i'm almost done with my session and seeing very good results on the condition of my skin and cellulite has reduced dramatically.0
