Calories burned - slightly confused

I did 80 minutes of cardio exercises yesterday (treadmill, bike and elliptical) but I do know that I did not burn 1059 calories using the exercise tool MFP has it was more like 600. Do I need to manually put the calorie numbers in that show up on the equipment I used? I am not superwoman so I can't take credit for the high number of calories it said I burned (at least not yet), LOL Please advise.

I think it advises you on here to put the calories the machine says if you can! If you're not using gym equipment then MFP can give good estimations (e.g. jogging in the street, exercising at home, etc.) but if you're using equipment that show calories burned (or a HRM) then put in the numbers they give you as it's more accurate

If you don't have a HRM, you may want to put into MFP that you did 40-50 minutes of cardio instead of 80 minutes. I don't have a HRM yet so I halve my workout time to what I feel is a more realistic calorie burn. If you can put your info (age, height, weight, sex) into the machines you use, you will probably come pretty close to your actual calorie burn.0
