Does anyone else feel like they can eat clean and healthy ALL day long, and once post-dinner hits, everything snowballs?!?!?!
I don't know why I do it time after time!
I have eaten so well all day...then something clicks in my head if I have anything even SLIGHTLY sweet after dinner, and I am done. I will eat ANYTHING sweet and lots of it!
It's almost like self-sabotage. I know what will happen if I eat at all after dinner time...but I still do it anyway!
On the other hand, I have made it through plenty of evenings before without binging like this.
Sometimes I wonder where that strength came from and how I can find it again!
I hope anyone who is reading this and understands this struggle can find a way to make it stop!
Much love!

  • Take the sweets out of the house. It sounds like you also are an emotional eater. Meaning if your board then you eat. Get a routine if you cannot figure out what to do, Do more exercise burn a few more cals and if you still want a treat you have burnt off what you are about to eat.
  • I had and still have on occasion that same exact problem. I eat so well all day then around 8 or 9 I get a huge sweet tooth and I give in. Then I'm disappointed :( I used to bake all the time (i love cooking and baking; it's stress relieving for me) but I stopped baking sweets and basically don't even have sweets in the house anymore. I do stock the fridge with sugar free Jell-O snacks though. Sometimes you really do need something sweet! The pudding only has 60 calories. Also, maybe try yogurt or a good sweet fruit will help the craving, too. Good luck to you!

So, so, so common...I try to save as many cals. for late night snacking as I can. The whole big breakfast, light dinner and no eating after 8 pm thingy doesn't work at all for me.

On days when this happens, check and see if your protein intake might have been a little light. If you discover a relationship between lower protein consumption and cravings, you can make the needed adjustment to your eating earlier in the day.

    Good luck!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I often find that I want something like a treat at the end of the day. I usually have enough calories left for a Clif bar - which I tell myself is slightly more healthy than a regular candy bar, and it doesn have some good fiber and protein in it.

If not that, then I do a fruit smoothie or a couple of fig newtons.
