Not much advice I can give that you don't already realize. I think not logging your calories is the first mistake. You lose all accountability to yourself there.

Also, will power, like most skills, will improve with practice. One good technique is to promise yourself some treat as soon as you have achieved some minor goal. Then keep pushing the promise of that treat out past the next minor goal. I know it sounds like it won't work since you know the trick you are using on yourself but just try it. You might be surprised how long you can keep that treat waiting for you in the future and how more relaxed the promise of that treat keeps you in the meantime.0
