I am SO freakin' sore tonight!!! I've been hitting it pretty hard (for me) at the gym this week and planned on taking a nice easy weekend. Well...my son wanted to go fishing and take me to his "honey hole" so I said "Sure! Sounds fun!" Well, what I didn't know was, to get to his fishing hole I would have to walk about a mile over semi dry creek bed which doesn't sound like much, but it was a workout carrying the gear and walking over moss covered rocks, loose creek bed rocks...there's a lot of balancing we had to do.

Anyway, we get there, and at first it was dead. Since it rained pretty hard last night, the water was muddied up. After a while, the fish were jumping, although I couldn't catch a thing to save my life. What do you do when there's water and you can't catch any fish? You go swimming. So I went swimming for about 30-40 minutes. Fished for a little more after that then we started walking back.

Before we got home, my wife has already let me know that she wanted to go bowling tonight, so that's what we did. Three games of bowling (I won all three games  )

Right now...I am wiped out and so freakin sore!!! According to MFP, fishing and swimming and bowling for the amount of time I listed (which was under cut by a lot to be on the "safe" side) I burned 1534 calories today. I knocked off 2 hours of the fishing and about 15 minutes of the swimming I did, and bowling was listed about 10 minutes shy of what I did. I honestly feel like I worked hard today, but even shaving my time down, I have to ask myself if I burned that many calories.

Woke up this morning sore as well. My wife wanted to go to the gym today and since I'm the one with the membership and I can bring a guest, I had to suck it up and go. Probably the best thing I could have done...a little treadmill and some lifting and I feel a whole lot better. Sunburn still hurts, but I'm nowhere near as sore as I was last night and this morning.
