Mmmm, 100% would eat again. Nectarines drizzled with some maple syrup, cinnamon and almonds, roasted for like 8 min. Placed on top of plain Greek yogurt.

Hush, it'll be alright. How 'bout playing the "What could someone have possibly disagreed about" game? It's how I self-soothe and recalibrate my love for humanity after spending too much time in the forums. Here we go for you...

Fish Friday: They either wanted to know the name of the fish or it was already Saturday in the part of the world they live in.
Memories of Jamaica today: They disliked having no access to your memories or they didn't remember their own memories of Jamaica.
Jerk marinade: (And I really think it's this one) They objected to the thought of you calling yourself a "jerk" or they saw no visual evidence of marination.

Agreed! What a great way to use up seasonal fruit. I'm going to try this with the last of my cherries, ginger syrup and some walnuts tonight!3 -

A colleague came over for dinner. Pragga wanted to cook some stuff together and my original plan of nam prikong was just too easy. So we started by air frying her mom's frozen samosa while we were busy with wrapping and rolling extra starters. We made wonky Vietnamese summer rolls with prawns (I recommend buying the largest size rice sheets which will make this less fiddly), and some vegetarian spring rolls folded in samosa shape. Hoisin and peanut dipping sauce for summer rolls and nuoc cham for summer rolls. Main of nam prik ong. Dessert of Sicilian almond and pistachio granitas that the hubby was too full for.

Ooo! Post a pic! This also reminded me I have some cherries left! Stone fruits are my favourite!1 -
Sorry but it was gone too fast to snap a pic. I ended up using strawberries instead since I had, umm, a grilling oversight with the cherries 😭. A buckwheat pancake was the bowl and the whole thing will now be in heavy rotation on my snack list. Thanks again for sharing your tasty idea! This thread, and all its posters, has always been a great source of inspo.

My 4th attempt ever at tacos.. don't know why I don't make them more often. They were delicious.

I want to try crispy artichokes. Looks good2 -
Lockdown rules are easing and restaurants are open again in London. We went for a walk and ended up sharing a cheeseburger and fries as an afternoon snack on a sunny terrace. Consequently not hungry for the dinner we planned to make so we just had some sauteed broccoli in the evening.

patriotic pancakes for the 4th of July (for my love of Americans, not America)
leftover chicken roast blended into a soup with bacon bits on top, because why not? It's July and pouring down rain, I want more comfort food. And fruit salad, because it still is summer.
Green ramen because I can't find my favorite purple noodles anywhere. Green is not as good.
Rice noodles and wilted salad with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil.
