Introduction (Long)

Hi all! I'm new to this site so I wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Erica, I'm 27 years-old from Western Mass.

My story is: I'm Justover 3 years of being in recovery from a 12 year eating disorder and besides the weight I've gained from recovery (I was quite comfortable with a healthy body weight)but about a year ago I started taking a medication which caused me to gain even more weight and then on top of that I got married, as well as lost my job and I completely plead the 5th on slightly letting myself go.

*SIGH*

My goal here is to obtain healthier habits and hopefully stay more a committed and motivated by tracking my progress here.
The most important thing is for me to accomplish this in a healthy way as to not risk being triggered/relapsing andhopefully get back to feeling more comfortable in my own skin.

Overall I want to live a more healthy lifestyle. Also myhusband and I are trying to have a baby and I want to be in a position where my body is healthy for when I get pregnant and then to be able to instill healthy nutritional habits in my family as a whole. I have been thinking about this for awhile but have been having a hard time staying on track with counting calories, exercising, etc.

On top of that I have been feeling so disgusted with myself, and while I know my husband loves me just the way I am, I found a magazine he had been looking at, and, I just got really down on myself and am having a hard time understanding why men feel the need to look at these so-called 'perfect women' and then be attracted to me too. I am openminded to the fact that men like to be able to look at a variety of women but if my, your, their husbands are so attracted to us then why aren't there any magazines with the average size 10 or 12 women who are real? I wish the curvier Marilyn Monroe Physique was still the trend.

Anyway, so that's my story. Sorry to ramble it must be the writer in me.
... I have to admit it felt good to get all of that out there though.

Thanks for listening.
