dont keep it in the house, dont buy it, try not to think about it.

Sub for dark chocolate, allow yourself one square every other day, don't eat it in front of the tv, savor it, enjoy it, it will keep you from mindless noshing
I tend to make myself earn my treats. If I want chips or chocolate, I calculate the cals, the sodium content and I burn those cals and drink additional water...But this is only a once in a while thing; I don't make it a habit.

I love chips (crunch, texture, taste) and I have found myself being equally satisfied by banana chips and nut medley (cashews, almonds, peanuts, unsalted) they are fatty (the nuts) but i feel like Im snacking and get satisfied from it. And I measure those cals in with my daily intake

Try almond milk with a little bit of chocolate syrup...its awesome! (im lactose intolerant as well, I just refuse to give up cheese and chocolate)

or you can exercise through your craving. If i want something that I know isnt in my plan and Ive had my cals for the day, I pop in a DVD and workout. Usually, by the time I'm done, i have no interest in anything but a hot shower and sleep!

    Hope this helps

Chocolate shakeology (with almond milk) has worked wonders for my chocolate cravings.

there is some sort of milk in the dairy department made for lactose intolerant people. The name has acidollpholus in it. You could try and work that into your daily calories. The special K chocolate may be enough with the milk sub to stop your cravings
  • Yes dark chocolate is the way to go, if it does not have (milk solids) as an ingrediant you shouldnt have any problems, also not that bad for you, in moderation of course :D

Get some good dark chocolate that comes in single pieces. Limit to ONE per day. Take a moment each day to really enjoy that one piece of chocolate - rather than just mindlessly shoving it in your mouth really focus on it and taste the goodness.

Or get some dark chocolate mini-chocolate chips. Have a serving on a ricecake w/PB2 or on a banana w/a little honey. Or mix into some sugar free chocolate pudding. But ONLY if you can actually limit yourself and not eat the whole bag at once.

  • Could you instead be exercising instead of sitting down in front of the TV - therefore burning calories, taking your mind off food, but by burning calories you also have the ability to eat them back. This is what I do if I know we have something happening e.g. a meal and drinks with friends. I get myself to the gym and burn a good few hundred calories off.

Otherwise go for healthier options such as dried fruits, my particular favourites are raisins or peanuts with chocolate if I'm craving some chocolate but I limit myself to 50g. The whole packet has the calorific equivalent to a meal.

Be careful with cereals - if you don't weigh them out you can instead end up having around 500 calories in just the one bowl!

It's taken me approximately 4 weeks to kick the craving habit but I think I'm getting there!
