Somebody please explain the Pop-tarts & ice cream fad, please. :embarassed:
Some people (typically IIFYM-ers) have a hard-on for pop-tarts and icecream because they are typically viewed as unhealthy. They love to post on the forums about how they are successfully losing weight with poptarts. It's usually the same 5-6 people who make these threads and the same 1 person (a certain "coach") who comes in to argue with them. From there the thread goes completely off topic and turns into a stupid back and forth of posting peer reviewed studies/livestrong articles (90% of the time the experiments are done poorly and the people reading them only read the abstract before drawing their own conclusion and posting it here).

Always a fun read, be sure to come back here after a few days and see the hilarity that ensues.

    Yep :)

Easy with the intelligent summary. You're going to scare them. (You about nailed it and worded it very well. )

I just burned enough calories to eat this.....after I ate CELERY and got the stringy part caught between two back teeth. Took FOREVER to dig it out. Should have gone for this in the first place. Lesson learned? LOL

I have never seen the red velvet either...but I am gonna look!

If I cannot find it I am covered anyway. Gonna make a surprise for my Mom's birthday.. Homemade peach cobbler...with ice cream!

Remember, pop tarts are not just for breakfast!

I had the best ice cream the other day. It ruined all other ice cream for me forever and that includes previous favorites of mine such as haagen dazs dulce de leche, ben & jerry's cinnamon buns, and talenti's sea salt caramel.

Actually, I think it ruined all other food for me forever....EVEN POPTARTS.

Can someone please explain something to me?

Calories in Unfrosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tart: 210
Calories in Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tart: 210

How does Kellogg's do this??? Have they developed a calorie-free frosting? If so, could you scrape the frosting off and use it as a no-calorie sweetener for your coffee?

Do they short the frosted tarts somehow to make it come out even? Hard to believe they'd have two production lines for brown sugar cinnamon yummies, so maybe they just chop a little off the bottom or something?

    Or...or...ARE THEY MAGIC?????

Went on a hunt last night for the elusive Red Velvet ones, don't think my area has them. Did find and get: choc chip cookie dough, sugar cookie, pumpkin pie and got the old standard, brown sugar

Thank goodness for the higher calories to include one as a treat!

They only made one type of Pop Tarts I liked - apple - and have discontinued them. F*** that frosting crap.

Right now they have a limited edition "Apple Cinnamon Muffin." I'm pretty sure it's just the apple poptart with the cinnamon topping they put on the oatmeal delight.
