@springlering62 - WowWowWowWowWOW! Those arms, yeah, but also the muscular definition and taut shapeliness from there all the way down your torso to hips (core!). Looking at your current photo, I would think you'd been one of those "slim and super fit for decades" women. Literally incredible two year progress . . . and I'll bet it *feels* even better than the extreme amount of fabulous that it looks.
@Springlering62 My oh my oh my! You just cannot post those photos and not tell what program you were using! Arm goals!! Core goals! All goals! You rock!

Thanks for all the nice words, everyone!
I do a ton of various styles of heated and unheated flow yoga and mat Pilates, and I walk a ton, and run not enough.
I started back to the gym three weeks ago, but it’s a serious metal gym, and I lack confidence around these incredible NCAA and Olympic hopeful athletes so I hide in a corner and do the things I know I can do without making an utter *kitten* of myself, lol. Seriously, they are all sweet and supportive as can be and never a whiff of “judge”.
I started back up with my trainer last week. She’s 71, and was hesitant to let her “seniors” back in for fear we’d pick up covid, so kept pushing back dates for us older gym users. I am so fortunate and honored that she took me on last year. It’s wonderful having a great trainer, but having one you genuinely love takes it to a new level.
The weights complement the yoga. I’ve finally accomplished some arm balances, with the extra body strength.
The yoga complements the weight training, since most yoga sequences involve a chatarunga, which is sorta two pushups, and a good flow requires a lot more strength than people expect. The flexibility helps, too.
My Pilates instructor is pretty tough, and I give her a lot of credit for helping me build a strong core.
Zoom has been a blessing, since I’ve been able to keep up with familiar teachers and practices during all this, as well as giving me the unexpected opportunity to take some classes my daughter teaches from the west coast.
I’m retired, and decided when I started losing weight that I might as well treat “me” as my new job.
Can I just add, I want to be a role model, respect commanding dynamo hottie at 71 like this little powerhouse!!!!!
@springlering62 There you go. Talk about a 'redecorating plan'. I would interested in your timeline. Not weight loss but the redecorating part. How you felt as you were rearranging things. How long did it take for specific parts to go from A to B. Muscle mass replacing everything. What a transformation. My jaw dropped.
Holy moly on the fit and fabulous retirees. Your 71 y o personal trainer looks 60! And you could be mistaken for 40 if the purple covered the greys in the perimeter. I guess fitness will do that for a person--roll back the clock!
I just re-read this thread (took a while!) and even though I'm just getting back into lifting, I found a post from myself last year saying I managed to deadlift 50kg, well now my PB is 105 kg so I guess I've improved! Can't wait to get even stronger
This thread is great. There's some things here I don't want to forget. This is the summer of ______, put your name here. When reinventing yourself really starts to pay off. Make no mistake, this is the summer of @springlering62 .

My trainer took this one today. I can honestly say, I did a double take when I saw it.
This one is July 2018
GUNS! you’ve got guns.
You are one heck of an inspiration.
Cheers, h.
Impressive!
