Would I be over doing it if I added pull ups and parallel bar dips to my stronglifts routine?

I can only do them assisted at the moment but really want to be able to do them and wondered if I could continue trying while doing stronglifts.

I add wide grip pull ups to my strong lifts program, as long as you are having a day rest in between then you should be fine, your body will let you know if you are doing too much

I've been doing pull ups and dips from the beginning. (assisted). Not sure how much it has affected my lifting progress, as in stressing my body too much, but I'm not displeased. Go for it.

I think they used to be part of the program but now they're optional. I think he called them Assistance exercises. I do them and something for abs in between lifting sets but only when I lift at home (which is most of the time).

Nope, I think they are important additions to a strength programme...when I have time left over I fit them in...
