i've been on MFP for over a year now and am currently in maintenance.
Up until September this year I was absolutely fine. But recently, after my birthday, i've found that I no longer find it easy to say no to my Mum's desserts or even second portions of them!
I am often going over my calories by approx 500 one to two times a week.
I also currently have a hamstring injury (I'm a keen runner - first marathon in May 2013) and recurring hip problem that I am undergoing scans/physio for so exercise (including basic strength work at the gym) is difficult and advised against. You can probably tell that, for a runner, netballer and tennis player, this is very frustrating!
I love fruit, salads etc and most of my days are very healthy and i feel fine with the amount of food I'm consuming. It's just that recently I suddenly find myself "giving in" a lot more for example eating 2 portions of ice cream or 2 servings of apple crumble or even half a bar of chocolate.
Any ideas for why this is happening or how I can kickstart myself back to normal?

Sounds like you may have an addiction to sugar. Sooner or later, it won't be two nights a week and it won't be only two servings. I would cut out sugary desserts entirely. Have some fruit and nuts instead.0

When I start slipping, it's usually because I'm stressed/depressed about something--or maybe just bored! I find that setting new goals for myself at the gym helps, but if you have an injury, maybe trying to learn yoga or something? I try to re-center my focus by doing cheesy stuff like reading the motivational crap on Fitness Pinterest boards. I hope you find your fire! You've come so far; I'm certain you won't let yourself slip!0
