Low-Cal Bread

Could someone please recommend a low-calorie wheat bread; or, something else I could use for sandwiches and toast?

I always use sara lee calorie bread. It's called calories and delightful multi-grain wheat bread. It's pretty good. :)

I like the store brand (I go to Market Basket but I think they are only in the northeast US) light wheat and light oatmeal bread. They are both 35 calories per slice.

I get the wheat Arnold thins. You can use them like a bun, or toast them like bread. 100 cals for both pcs.

Try sandwich rounds, or switch from bread to flatbread crackers.

    Here's a pic of sandwich rounds: http://cdn.mdjunction.com/components/com_joomlaboard/uploaded/images/sandwich_rounds.jpg
    And flatbread crackers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jugglerpm/4517528847/

healthy life wheat-35 calories per slice; sara lee bread 45 calories per slice-the honey wheat and multigrain are good; brownberry has a new 45 calorie per slice bread also good; flat out wraps; sandwich or bagel thins are usually 100 calories total, light english muffins

I also use the Healthy Life wheat bread. 35 calories per slice, so I don't feel guilty eating a sandwich or sending PB&J sandwiches with my son to school!

Nature's own 100% whole wheat bread. 50 calories pure slice, and it is REAL whole wheat!

I like the little "thinwich" buns. Feels like a sandwich without the guilt.

Thanks, everyone. I just can't deal with 160 calories worth of bread (80 calories per piece) for a sandwich. That's ridiculous.
