So I know many of us are going to be checking in on Friday...
Anyone have plans or want to make plans for a light dinner out or whatever? I don't know that area at all so hoping one of the locals may have any idea.

My plans were to take Amanda and Eric around NYC on Friday (I will likely request the day off of work)
The plan was to drive upstate that evening.
I am open to whatever anyone wants to do
Just to be clear, the Spartan Race location is about an hour's drive away from NYC.0 -

NYC is about an hour from Spartan Race not including traffic. So, we can do dinner in the city or up by the race/hotel but I have no idea what is over there.
I had not planned what time we would head up except that it will be in the evening. Everything is still open for discussion!0 -

As of right now it till be Eric, Mander, and myself running around NYC looking at stuff and doing fun things. Leslie, do join us. I think we'll have to check into the hotel together anyway 0 -
Since I am not far from the venue I'll probably drive over on Friday night to see folks, snort rails off hookers backsides, have unprotected sex and mainline heroin and then head back home to sleep in my bed before Saturday's festivities.

Whatever time that is, we'll leave our house 5 hours prior so we expect to be there early in the afternoon....gives us time to get our stuff in order and then be free for the rest of the day

3PM or some such thing. We will figure that stuff out. I'll have to call the hotel or something and see if they will let you check in without me since I am definitely not going to be up that way until the evening hours. We have lots of time to work on the details.0 -
Hubs (Brian) and I will get in on Thursday night and are staying until Monday afternoon. I think we'll probably spend Thursday and Sunday nights in NYC to avoid renting a car for the whole trip, and will spend Friday and Saturday nights at the Holiday Inn. This could change, of course, as we have lots and lots of time to plan.
For now, I'm booking all 4 nights (Thursday through Monday) in Goshen.0
