WOW ! I thought I was melting off the pounds. I went from 201 to 190 in no time at all. Then I went to the Doctors office with my wife and weighed myself. WOW... To my surprise I was 195 pounds. I told my wife the Doctors scale is WRONG. She laughed and said maybe my scale is wrong. I said NO WAY. So she weighed herself and I weighed myself and when I got home my scale said I lost 2 more pounds and now weighed 188. In 3 hours I lost 2 pounds...Hmmmm..So I took a 25 pound weight and weighed it and guess what. It only weighed 23 pounds. I thought THIS SUCKS. I thought I was doing so good. Well I am doing good, I am now 195 not 190 or 188...LOL. This actually seems more realistic, but I felt REALLY good for a few days. My wife said that it is a encouragement scale to make me feel good and keep on trying. HA,I took that BAD Biggest Loser scale back and got a new scale that weighed me in at 195 like the Doctors office said. So I will continue to do what needs to be done and watch the pounds slowwwwly melt away. LOL.:glasses:

Were 201 and 190 both on your home scale? If so, then who cares?

My scale weighs differently if it is different places on the floor. As long as it is consistently off, it shouldn't really matter. We're measuring progress, not numbers :) I have to make sure that my scale is in exactly the same place every time to be sure that I am getting an accurate reading.

Yea... but if you weighed 201 on your home scale as well, that means you still lost 11 pounds. You probably would have weighed 206 on the doctors scale at that time!

  • Thats right you still lost the same amount of weight! I hate Dr's scales they always way heavy and you have that nurse giving you the eye while you way! Phooey!

Scales can do that from time to time. But like everyone said, at least you did lose the 11 pounds! (assuming your scale was consistant, even though incorrect). Even though you thought you weighed less, you still felt great thinking you weighed that amount even though you didn't really. It's all your mentality about it! Just keep up the good work and you'll reach your goals before you know it!
  • Wanted to point this out.. if you weigh in the morning, then drink like 5 glasses of water, eat breakfast, do some workouts.. You weight at least 3-5 lbs more by afternoon.. at least I do.. lol.. So your morning weight is going to be different by the time you get to the clinic..

And like everyone else said.. you still lose 11 lbs! Good for you!!!!!
