For anyone who is struggling...

You can do this! You can absolutely do this! You have the strength. You will find that willpower when you think you absolutely can't. You will learn to say "no" to seconds. You CAN change your life. If I can do it, you can do it!

I started this journey one year ago at 207.2 lbs. I am only 5 ft tall, so I was heading into dangerous territory. I haven't always been this heavy, but over the last few years, I grew LAZY. I ate whatever I wanted and felt terrible about myself. Since then, I have dropped 64 pounds! It has changed everything for me. I am no longer scared of the gym. I can outrun my 3 year old, and that's saying a lot. I no longer look at myself and wonder who the hell I have become. I am no longer scared to buy clothes. So many things... I could go on and on. I am currently at 143.6, just 15 pounds for being at a healthy weight, 28 pounds to my goal. So close... but like others I have let these holidays and school stress get to me and haven't lost anything in 6 weeks! However, I reminded myself that I have come so far, too far to keep at this stand still. So, last week I committed myself 100% and finally saw my first loss in 6 weeks!

I have started a blog to motivate me and hopefully motivate others who might be struggling too. There, I will chronicle my successes, my failures, what works, what doesn't, good foods, bad foods, whatever gets me through the day. I hope some will join in my journey! Just remember, if I can change my life, so can you!

Thanks for this post, I needed it badly. I starting dieting end exercising in August and did very well losing a total of 23 pounds and fell off a week before Halloween. I have been trying to get back on to track but have been failing. My heaviest weight yet was 236 and I am currently weighing in at 214. I have gained back 4 pounds since falling off. I completely agree with you that all the motivation is needed, cause I am always beating myself up for my own failure that it has put me into a depression but I cannot seem to stay away from sweets and junk foods.

Pls, don't beat yourself up. I was basically where you are now when I started. And, sure I could have lost more than 63 pounds in one year, but then that meant I wouldn't have enjoyed my birthday, the holidays, or going out to dinner with my hubby. I gave myself those days and don't beat myself up about it. If I was 100 percent on plan all the time, I wouldn't have made it this far. I just wouldn't have. You can do this. The holidays are always hard, but they will soon be over. Last January I lost nearly 10 lbs... hoping to see that this year, too!
