Adult Tonsillectomy - Waiting waiting waiting to recover

So I had my tonsils out (I'm 25) on December 6. I was all like, "Oh this can't be that big of a deal, people are wimps". Um ya, about that.

So 8 days in I had post operative hemorrhaging that we could not get under control, and had to go back into the OR. I was told afterwards I needed to maintain "limited activity" for another week.

I'm going stir crazy. I want to run, I want to go to Yoga, I want to ..... successfully eat something that doesn't have the consistency of baby food.

I guess I'm looking for a "hang in there" or "it will be over soon". Has anyone else done this? How long post-tonsillectomy before you returned to your workout routine?
