Losing weight with kids (a.k.a. Weight Loss Police)

My boys (ages 9 and 6) have been majorly gung-ho about my losing weight, and they have actually turned into food police monsters! The moment I reach for something they don't think is healthy, they're like, "Mom, should you be eating that?" or "I thought you said you were eating healthy." There's nothing like getting schooled by a 9-year-old!

The other day, my 6-year-old tells me, "Mom, you used to be fat, but you're not fat anymore!" Umm...thanks??? LOL!

Do any of you have similar experiences? I'd love to hear some of the hilarious and/or sweet things your kids have said to you during your weight loss journey.

My 8 year old (who also has Asperger's which makes him very blunt), ask me regularly why I won't sign up for the Biggest Looser. For the record, I'm at my fattest yet still only need to loose 30 lbs to be at my ultimate goal weight so definitely not quite Biggest Loser material.

Leave it to kids to never sugar coat ANYTHING! LOL!

i had a friends kids constantly ask me for a year if i was pregnant ;( I told them regularly that I was not.

My son once saw me bend over and noticed my rolls. he was about 4 or 5 at the time. He jumped up and down excitedly for me and pointed at my rolls on my gut and said "MAMA! You have a belt!! You are so lucky! Most people don't have those!!!"

When I started eating better, he did use it to his advantage like "no you can't have a bite of my cookie, It's too many calories for you." but then that behavior faded quickly...for both of us. He doesn't talk about that now. He does tell me i'm strong tho (i'm into lifting now)
