Carrying calories over

Sorry if this topic has been done to death but there's no clear way of doing a search for it. Entering 'calories' brings up tonnes of stuff

Last night, after I logged out of MFP, I ate:

Kingsmill - Toastie White , 1 slice with Sunpat - Peanut Butter Smooth, 1 tbsp

I could not be bothered to log it so I logged it on today's food diary (as part of my breakfast). Should I have done? Does it matter?

Thank you in advance

i tend to do that when i go out drinking....ie if i drink anything after midnight i put it on that days log, not the day i started drinkng.

I think more about how many calories I eat each week instead of just daily. I may go over one day, but then eat less on another day.

No, don't think it matters how you log calories on MFP, it's all about how your body logs the calories. lol You can add or subtract food from previous daily entries.

I almost always eat something else after I've logged out of MFP for the day. I just log in the following day and update the previous day's diary to reflect it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some people will look at the weekly calories instead of the daily ones. Going over one day and under the other all evens out in the end.

You can still add things once you have finished your day though.

You can go into a previous day and log after the fact and then finalize it again. I do it all the time.
