FAST DIET

Has any one give this ago.....2 days fasting 500 calories only, 5 days eating normal...I :happy: .started this week....

    the only time i did that was when i had a eating disorder and i do not recommend it to anyone.It caused my metabolism to crash

    It's a form of Intermittent Fasting. I believe it's "Eat Stop Eat." Here's a link to the FAQ for the IF group here:

    If you are eating your normal amount of calories over the course of a week, one or two days of 500 calories will not harm your metabolism. This is not the form of IF I do (when I do IF) but there's nothing harmful about it.

    People doing IF are eating the same amount of calories they would otherwise be eating to lose weight. The difference is that they don't eat all day long. They eat in prescribed in windows, or they eat a low number of calories one or two days if they do 24-hour fasts. For many people, eating six meals a day causes them to gain weight because they overeat. Many people aren't hungry for, and do not need breakfast.
