Without sounding like a downer. I am sick of not losing any weight! So today i said skew it! had a high calorie morning. i ate food i know i shouldn't have. Those of you on my FL know I workout. I keep track of my calories! It seems the harder I work at this mfp lifestyle the more I gain. I have lost the same 5 - 6 pounds since Oct 2012. I don't log all my excersize cals, I usually leave out an average of 200 call per workout. I have been lifting heavy for about 3 months but religiously for about 4 wks. I am eating more protein, So I don't believe it's muscle. Seriously contemplating diet pills.

Answer the questions posted on this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/817167-asking-questions-about-your-intake-providing-info
Providing that info will make sure that SS and Sara can help0 -
As Lora says, if you can complete the info from the link. I know you were doing really well there for a while with your weight loss so hopefully we can come up with a plan that will start the losses moving again.0

Are your very low calorie (like, under 800) days truthful logging or a result of just not completing your diary?0

Let's let her answer the questions myself and SideSteel need first. And no she is not low calorie.0 -
Added your responses to the OP. Myself and/or SideSteel will get back to you soon.0

So, suggestions are:
- try to get as accurate with logging as possible - weigh and measure everything when you can
- set your intake at 1,600 static (i.e. no eating your calories back). If you log and track more accurately, this may well lead to a larger reduction than 200 calories - from the 1,800 you are currently on)
- macros:
Protein: 190g = 25% (rounded to the nearest 5%)
Fats: 59g = 35% (rounded to the nearest 5%)
Balance, wherever suits the best
- try to increase non exercise activity but I would not increase your cardio
As usual, if you have any issues please update us either via this thread or via PM to either/both of us.0 -
Thanks guys! I will give it a go! I have a few questions.
1. At the beginning of my journey Morebean mentioned I should eat 1 lb of protein for every lbs I weigh? 25% isn't too low for a
lifter even if I'm just a beginner? What is your take on that?
2. You mention not to eat my excersize calories back. I should still log them right?
3. How much cardio do you do on average?0 -
1) The 1g of protein is per lb of LBM (I know Bean agrees with this, so the LBM part was probably missed). The amount is not really relevant to your experience in lifting.
2) You can log as 1 calorie if you want to track your cardio - it's usually a good idea to keep the data on it for informational purposes
3) Pretty much none for me and definitely none for SideSteel. I do 12 minutes of lazy arsed cardio after lifting sometimes but that is basically it.0 -
Thanks again for taking the time to help me! I do appreciate it! I hope this works!0
