    bf% @ 23.5% (scale says 27%, calipers say 20%... guessing I'm in between those)

    I'll have linebacker legs for life, I'm afraid, because at this point they're more muscle than fat... I'm making peace with it--I finally found boots that will zip over those calves :-)

    Hi MFPals!

    I'm trying to find the average thigh and calf sizes for women online and found nothing substantial to compare myself to. I am bottom heavy and my goal is to fit in regular rain boots but am unsure what the standard calf size is for women. I want a number to set my goals to! Here are my stats:

    Calves: 14.25"
    Thighs: 21"
    Weight:117lbs
    Height: 5'3"
    Body fat: 24.5%

    My Thighs are 21" and calves are 14.5". So we are twins!

    Uh, not quite. I am 5'6" and 190 lbs!
    And I'm quite sure you don't have a 35 inch waist!
    Do I get the prize for most disproportionate?

    I Love my long (34" inseam)lean and muscled legs I inherited from my 6'3" father
    Not so thrilled with the short thick waist I inherited from my 5'2" mother

    Yes, we women come in all different shapes and sizes. and we are all beautiful!

    Calves: 16"

    Runner here--never going to have skinny legs. But I'm happy to see a lot more muscle than I used to.

    I am learning to love my legs more and more! They carried me all the way through a marathon last year!

    I don't want to know! I've always had big thighs and calves my entire life! ANDDDD I'm only 4'10" which makes it worse :/

    Anyone have exercise suggestions for slimming down thighs (especially inner) and calves?? I desperately could use some advice! I already do squats, inner and outer thigh press machine, sometimes lunges...

    I actually love my legs. My legs are toned . . . not skinny- skinny legs wouldn't be able to handle the # of miles I put on them running :wink: of course buying skinny jeans is an adventure

    That sounds awesome...add running to that. Long distance. Add some sprint workouts as well. You have to find your happy medium with running though. So there's plenty of research out there & suggestions for workout plans.

    Not really, you're right around my size & I don't consider my legs "rather large" I am happy my legs aren't sticks & have meat on them. Don't compare to others, you're just fine :happy:
