pulled muscle

2 weeks ago a pulled a muscle along the front of my hip and it is STILL sore. I am supposed to be getting ready for my first half and this is killing my training schedule! I had to miss this past Saturday long run and so now I am not sure what to do about this schedule thing. the race is at the end of April so I am hoping my hip is sorted out by then.

What do you do when this happens? Wednesday was 5 miles and the first 2 my muscle was sore but better by the end of the run. Not taking any Tylenol or anything just my joint supplements. should I grin and bear it, lay off which doesn't seem to make a difference or just take meds prior to the run? Maybe a massage would help. Got to register for the run before the first before fees go up :(

    Whenever I have an injury, I make sure to rest it.
    You really can't push this or you could end up making it worse! I know it's frustrating but seriously, DON'T! Haha.
    Have you considered going to the doctor?

    No haven't gone to my Dr. work at a hospital so I know that it is muscle not bone issue. I injured it riding my horse and didn't stretch after so basically did it to myself. Now just kicking myself. getting old stinks !!
