    Hey Nighttime Runner's Club Friend!

This week is Week 4 of my Road to the 10 miler!
    Schedule was:
Monday - It turns out I was in the wrong training class so I only did 2.5 miles - should have done 4, but that's okay...10 minute pace...easy run

Tuesday - Strength Training - 60 minutes BodyPump Class

Wednesday - 3 mile interval training - 10 minute warm up then 4 miles at race pace then 90 seconds jog, repeated three times then 15 minute cool down...Did this one in a weird summer storm - double rainbows in the sky - fantastic! **Must tell you funny thing happened - I was running with another girl in the training and we passed a young girl jogging in a very...um....less than supportive bra - looked like a porn video :noway: we both looked at eachother and broke out laughing we almost had to stop! Girls! first rule of running - wear a GOOD support bra!!

Thursday - XT - Cross training day - did 45 minutes on the Elliptical at 70%THR

    Friday - REST!!

Saturday - 6.5 miles scheduled. Found lots of new courses in my area on www.mapmyrun.com - great site!!

    That's it!!

Special applause to all the beginners! Keep up the great work!!

I know I haven't officially introduced myself and I'll get around to that, but I've been dreading doing the 20 minute run on the couch to 5k and tonight I did it and FINISHED IT!!! No walking for me, ran at my usual pace. I'm so excited!! I can hardly believe I did it. And I only felt like I was going to die the last 2 minutes or so!! I did end up getting another side stitch, but ran through it and it went away. I'm so pumped!!! Just had to share!!!!!!

Anways, back to your regularily scheduled programming!

Congrats!! That is wonderful progress!! Breathe through those side stiches....Deep breaths... and if that doesn't work what helps me is do a couple of pretend coughs, pushes on the diaghram..

Hey Great time!! 53 minutes is awesome! Good Luck! Do you have a goal time for finishing the 5K?

Pointers for the race...when the race starts your adrenaline will soar through your body, you may experience dry mouth - just find your pace as quick as you can which is difficult if it is a crowded race. I usually find someone who is running the same pace and fall behind them...a man with a cute butt preferably!! JK!! (okay maybe only kidding a little bit! )

lastly, treat yourself to some guilty pleasure when you are - because you DESERVE IT!

Great idea on the "visual aid" lol

I would like to be under 23 mins, but that maybe pushing it a tad. The last few times I have run aroud 3.5 miles, I have clocked right at 25 mins. Cross your fingers there is no wind!! hahaha

Tune in Saturday morning about 9am CST for the results HAHAHAHA
