Has anyone else had experience with a blood type diet?

Is there anyone that has any experience with any of the dietary guidelines out there that are based on a person's blood type? I would not want to use this as a form of weight loss, but as a way of just feeling better, within my diet efforts.

I don't have any personal experience because I believe it to be yet another gimmicky fad...
But I do have a friend (who has literally tried everything...) who has done this in the past. She quickly found out that she was allergic to a couple of the foods that the diet specifically said was good for her blood type. Maybe that's just her, but it seems kinda weird that the "scientists" who created this diet would overlook things like that.0 -

That's because it is pseudoscience0 -
I haven't but I heard of it through a naturopathy doctor during a conference. She told her experience - she was eating the one that leans towards vegetarianism and no red meat. She followed the diet, lost weight, her skin was glowing, all was good. Until she learned that she was mistaken about her blood type and she was actually supposed to be eating the opposite.
The theory has been debunked by quite a few people.0 -

I've read into it as a friend of mine has the book 'Eat Right for Your Blood Type'
The problem is that it's based on a theory largely rejected by the medical community.
Blood type has no effect on what foods you should and should not be eating.0 -
As a scientist I can tel you that although I have never heard this before I would put my life savings on it being a complete load of rubbish - blood type has no effect on diet at all.0

I was always skeptical of this. I think it's just a gimmick.0

I thought we were supposed to be eating for our body type (you know, mesomorph, ectomorph, etc)?
Or, are we supposed to be eating like our ancient ancestors? Or do women eat differently than men?
There are a million different fad diets out there, and the blood type diet is just another one of them. Eat the foods you like, try to meet your macros, and maintain a calorie deficit. That's all that's required.0 -
