Full fat yoghurt

So I just got my shopping delivered and I'd ordered a kilo of fat free greek yoghurt. Just realised now that I've been given full fat. About 120 calories per 100g rather that 40 or 50 calories, so annoying! This might be a really weird question, but is there anything I can do to sort of water it down? Or anything else I can do with it? I eat so much yoghurt (about 200g a day) but if I eat this I'm going to be eating way too many calories. Don't want to waste it (poor student) but don't want to eat too much either. Will appreciate any advice for my odd question!!

So if you eat 200g a day and the difference is 70-80 calories per 100g, you'd be eating 140-160 calories more per day. That's really not much, especially since most days you seem to be under on calories anyway. Why not give the full-fat yogurt a try? On the days I looked at in your diary, you weren't making your fat goal, so this will help. Fat is essential and makes you feel full, so you might find it easy enough to cut a few calories if you end up needing to in order to make up for the difference.0

Full fat yogurt (or even low fat) is better for you than fat free. Try having it as a dessert by adding in some honey and cocoa powder.0

Don't eat it! If you do you might never go back to the low fat again. Seriously, the best full-fat yogurt is better than ice cream... and has about as many calories.0

revel in the deliciousness, and then move on with life.0

I tried fat free and low fat Greek yogurt and it was gross. It has to be full fat for me, so I limit myself to 2/3 pots of 200g a week. I love it too much to totally give it up. Enjoy it, just keep an eye on your calorie intake.0

You're all right. I ate it, it was amazing and I got over myself. It made me realise I was being too hard on myself. I've been stressed out and low today and realised it was partly because I was too hungry. It's my day off going to the gym - but still, if a bad day is eating a few too many calories due to yoghurt, I can't complain. Slightly different to a few years ago when a bad day was probably eating 4 or 5,000 calories and doing no exercise ever!0

Fat is essential for the absorption of vitamins and minerals in the body. You don't need to eat less fat in order to lose fat. If you're worried about consuming too much fat or too many calories - just adjust the amount you eat at one time. Fat free and low fat products are very tricky anyway - they often remove the fat from an item but replace it with sugar or sugar substitutes to make it taste better (which are actually worse for you!)0
