Do you build muscle or burn fat faster? Or is a very long "it depends"?

Um..
Okay, If you're asking which you should do first, the answer is cut bodyfat. Cutting is always faster than building muscle, muscle comes on very slowly when you start to lift weights.
You'll gain strength quickly, but it'll take months of eating at maintenance and increasing your protein to gain noticable size. Plus fat loss is achieved fastest when paired with cardio. You can still cut while lifting weights and doing strength training, but you won't see as big of a daily deficit in calories.
Which for me.. cardio makes me STARVING, so I'm just working on cutting right now and sticking to weight training, but that's me, I'm not going for fastest0 -
Muscle growth is relatively slow for my taste...In a year I lost at least 50 lbs of fat. That damn last 5lbs of fat is a mutha...and building pecs is pissing me off, due to the slow growth. I have freaky frankenstein genetics that give me big ugly massive calf and back muscles, yet my chest is lolligagging. I'm a 41 yo man, well past my peak testosterone days...not sure if that has much to do with it.0
