Scale jumped wayyyyyyy up. by about 2 lbs. I know that's impossible to have done in a day, but sometimes it just helps to hear it from others that it's ok and not to freak out. I was only 3 days into my cut, too! huge bummer, eh? it's all gonna be ok, right?

It is normal to swing 2-4 lbs if you eat a lot of food that has salt etc. in it. I can gain/lose this amount when being on plan. You will be just fine. I screwed up last night also - the weight will be on for a few days and then it will be gone. Just get right back on plan of exercise and food.0

My scale did the same thing today
I really think that it depends on the sodium content of what you eat during the day. I was under my calorie count for the day as I have been every day, so there really is no other explanation except the lunch I had out yesterday had too much sodium. My weight in day is Sunday so we'll see then. No more plans on eating out before then. lol
Hang in there one day will not make a difference in the long run.0 -
Yeah, don't freak out, it's possible from undigested food and water weight. Don't weigh yourself in the morning and then at the end of the day, you will almost always freak yourself out. Try to stick to once a week and 1st thing in the morning, but even then you might not always see a loss depending on what you ate the day or 2 before and if you weight train your muscles can also retain water from that. The scale is not always your friend lol.0

Water weight. Increased carbs, increased sodium.

Sodium....and hormones for a female. Also I can put on 5 lbs in a day morning weight vs eating and drinking 64 ounces of water by night. No joke. Oh heat too...sodium with heat ..and a workout equals puffy face, hands and toes for me. There is sooooo many factors to consider. Alcohol consumption....that increases my weight....3 glasses of Merlot and pasta ....ya ..my scale goes up that day but then down by the next week. It all evens out.0

Do a little research...it is pretty much scientifically and mathematically impossible to gain or lose even a single pound overnight. You have natural weight fluctuations...I fluctuate easily 3-5 Lbs day to day throughout any given week. If you don't/can't understand the science of this and don't understand natural body weight fluctuations I highly recommend you step back from the scale and only weigh yourself every week or two.0
