I'll admit, I stayed out waaay too late last night. I'm tired, plain and simple, this week I've been somewhat tired, but I hit a wall right now.
I'm trying to stay away from soda/pop, and I've never had an energy drink, not sure that I want to try them.... and I hate hate black coffee...
I've been tied up in a project at my computer for a whlile now....
How do I go about "tired" the healthy way.... I need suggestions so bad habits don't creep up on me.
Oh yes, and I'm drinking water like crazy, so I get up and have to go! which is not good right at this minute. lol

I take a b-complex vitamin that gives me a little extra boost. But today, I took those vitamins with a Monster. I'm not gonna lie. I'm frickin' exhausted!0

A protein bar usually gives me a boost. (Maybe it's the chocolate or peanut butter?) Idk... but it works for me. So if I'm feeling especially down in the morning, I'll skip the breakfast and eat the protein bar first... then breakfast later if I need it.
Edited to add: A quick set of 50 jumping jacks gets the heart rate up and I'll do that sometimes on my breaks at work to keep me from falling asleep at my desk.0 -
You win! :laugh:I hate hate black coffee...

Loved that show.
I usually end up putting too much cream in it. Then I have creamer with coffee in it.0 -

Say the safe word, get untied and go take a nap.
OR...I go with 5 hour energy when I hit a wall I just can't get past.0 -

Managing going about my day "tired" the healthy way for me, usually means H20 + CocoH20 + Berries (w. dark chocolate optional) + Nuts (w. dark chocolate or white chocolate or a combination)+ Dehydrated/Dried Fruits + (Optional Seaweed Salad depending on the combination of available ingredients and where I'll be headed for the day). You've just reminded me that I'm to consider prepping chilled seaweed pies soon, for the temperatures are soaring hot enough.
ETA: Consider taking cold showers to pep you up throughout the day, if at all possible or simply get a cold neck and shoulder compress to spruce you up enough whilst working in the office.0 -
I do not even dilute it.. Straight Caffeine, use to do no-doz but I think they outlawed them.
I read somewhere that Caffeine gets your heart moving for better work outs. I believe this but
am probably slowly killing my body.0 -
My multivitamin has caffeine in it. For 'active metabolism' or some such hooey. I don't take it for metabolism. I take it because it saves me the hassle of prepping and drinking a cup of coffee.0

Honestly, since I started going to gym in the morning and getting 30-45 minutes of good cardio in, I haven't been as tired during the day. It seems to defy logic; I get up 60-90 minutes EARLIER and feel better, often skipping coffee until later in the day. It's crazy.0 -
I hit the gym first thing most mornings. That always keeps me going till about 4.0

Interesting. Didn't notice any lift from the b-complex. May try it again. Right now... coffee is my savior.0 -
I listen to music in my chair and do *kitten* dancing
..
if that's such a thing.
If that doesn't work then I just proceed to slap myself in the face or do push-ups at my cubicle/run up the stairs a few times.0 -
I like coffee, and I need a cup immediately upon waking up. I'm a morning person though, and I'm usually up at 5 AM. I can get myself started without it. I take a shower after the coffee, and then I'm ready to go!!!0

I don't. My clown does when he's hungry.0

I feel ya. Late fun night for me as well :drinker: . I do lots of coffee followed by Sugar Free Red Bull on those really sleepy days. Like today!0
-
I have a nice warm shower and then finish it off by turning the heat all the way down and standing under a stone cold stream of water for half a minute. If that doesn't wake you up, I don't know what will. Sure does the trick for me.0

I Love Water, Coffee, Tea, and Coke Zero. Drink mostly water throughout the day - two cups of coffee/tea and one small can of coke zero when I am desperate!0
