I've actually started over countless times... but this time I'm in it for the long haul!0

You got this! Great motivation and great attitude. Work it one day (sometimes one moment) at a time. Every time you have a choice ask yourself, "Is this bringing me closer to my goals or further away?"0

What you are doing is what success looks like. People who lose weight and successfully keep it off usually go through the same pattern you are experiencing now. The Weight Loss Registry, which keeps track of people who lose weight and keep it off, reports that "Most registry participants (90%) reported previous attempts at weight loss. For most participants, these attempts consisted of weight loss followed by weight regain. Few participants successfully lost weight and maintained the weight loss on the first attempt. " So what you are doing is what the stars of the weight loss world started out doing. If you want more information about the Weight Loss Registry check out http://xnet.kp.org/permanentejournal/sum03/registry.html and http://www.nwcr.ws/
Your perseverance is a sign you are headed for success! Keep it up! '0 -
Thank you all for the encouragement!0

Hey buddy its hard to get going at first. They say if you do something for 3 weeks then it naturally becomes a habit. I think in those starting weeks you just need a support system or group. Just a few people to compare info and pump each other up. Even if you lose 1 pound in a week. Its definitely progress....So heres to crushing those first 21 days bro!!!0

Good luck! I totally understand about reading success stories. I want to be one of them too! I'm starting over again with ya. Here's to all of us to being a SUCCESS STORY!!0

Good for you, taking that first step - you've come to the right place!!
The best advice that I can give is to stay in the moment and focus on making that one good choice... focusing on the long-term goal can only help to make us feel hopeless (and we're not). The smallest of decisions are going to be the ones that shape your future and your success!
Each time you make the decision to pass on unhealthy food or park at the other end of the parking lot and walk a little further is what will get you to the finish line, I can promise you that.
Chin up, we can do this :happy:0 -
I am here on MFP for my third time too! Hopefully this time around we can both stick to it and reach our goals!0
