I've put my food diary on public for the time being incase anybody fancies having a look for me , but if you do look through my recent entries you'll see that I sometimes have trouble staying under the calorie goal. However, today I feel like I have not stopped eating and I'm still under! I got to 800 and something calories and then ate some treats so that I could bump up my intake but I feel annoyed at myself because I've really been eating just to do that, bump up my intake. I feel like I've ate loads compared to other days as well and I'm just really confused! I know this sounds silly but I usually get hungry all the time.
Does anybody else feel like they've let themselves down by eating for eating sake because you need to increase your daily intake?
Advice much appreciated, thanks!

as much as people say that you must eat your calorie goal, i believe in listening to your body. If you're not hungry don't eat.0

No point in stuffing food in if nor hungry, use common sense, we are all different and find what works for you0 -

I agree.
Also, you should never have to be hungry all the time! When I started I had been having tiny meals, and my stomach was burning by about 9pm. Luckily I had about 500 calories left by night, and could have my daily sweet and still leave some over.
But today, I had a filling breakfast ( shreddies ) and for dinner a big plate of broccoli and fish. Which I can tell you has left me feeling absolutely stuffed and its half 9! And only around 400 calories.
Eat things that will fill you up, but aren't so high in calories. I'm not saying cut out all sweets and junk and eat " clean " constantly. But, try to find a few meals that you really enjoy and fill you up.
Tomorrow I'm trying Brown Rice and 2 chicken fillets. Looking forward to it!0 -
I don't eat if I'm not hungry because they're are plenty of days when I have to refrain from over eating0

As long as you are averaging out to a healthy intake (per week is usually reasonable), then don't feel like you need to eat more just to meet your caloric goal today. Some days you can eat more, some days you can eat less, it's the avg that's going to matter in the long run. Just don't make a habit of being significantly under. That's no good.0

out of curiosity i converted the g into oz so i could figure out how many oz is 22g. if google is correct (if it's not i apologize) according to google it's not even an oz of cereal. have you thought about having 4 or 5 oz of cereal for a snack instead of just a handful. that will help boost your calories.0

I'm not necessarily worried about my exact goal, just wary of going under 1200. But what you're all saying makes sense, thank you! I wasn't full up before, I was just satisfied and was trying to get used to that feeling instead of full to the brim! Thanks everyone xxx0

I find that sometimes too, today I had a protein bar as a mid-afternoon snack and it filled me up so much that I couldn't manage any dinner after that0

I eat to my hunger most of the time and don't worry about it but another sign that I'm not eating enough (besides hunger) is if I start to feel cold. I don't feel hungry but I know I am and I'll eat 1,000 or so extra calories and feel better for it.
I'm happy to be under my calories but you really need to balance it out with high calorie days too and not be afraid to be "over" I think -- and you can't always rely on hunger.0
