Water weight and water?

I have a few stupid stupid questions.
I had posted earlier about undereating for the last 5 days like a dummy by accident, by approx.500 calories under. I want to get back to my normal intake but not gain weight in the process.
1. I know it's pretty unlikely to gain fat, but is water weight really possible?
2. I mean can your body get messed up enough in 5 days of eating about 400 to 500 under your "good" number, that going back up one day (wasnt planning on doing 50 cal increases a day or something), that that would cause water weight gain?
3. Do you see water weight gain (if it happens) on your body, or is it just messin up the number on the scale?
4. Last...if I stay SUPER extra hydrated, could that prevent water weight gain?
Sorry for all the stupid questions, I'm just curious, I know it's not a crisis, I just would truly prefer to stay at this weight that I'm happy with...finally

water weight is daily almost irregardless to anything else
you will see it in the scale an sometimes in your body

So if I drink a lot of water it will keep me from putting on water weight? And I know weight fluctuates every day but I'm talking about like large changes when going back to eating my healthier but higher amount than I was for the past 5 days.0

drinking water, avoiding exercise (not recommending this), decreasing sodium intake, or increasing potassium intake can all lead to less water retention.0 -

I don't think so...unless it's food heavy in sodium which does retain water.

I do in my face and legs. My medication causes me to retain more water than reguarly so I try and not eat alot of salt and drink lots of water. Sometimes I take water pills.

If you don't eat alot of salt and eat potassium which helps the body eliminate excess salt and fluid from the body.0 -

Well I'm definitely planning on drinking a lot, nothing crazy high in sodium, I don't wanna totally avoid exercise but I'm just gonna go for like 30 minute walks instead of tuning like a maniac haha. I'm thinking I'm not gonna gain...hoping at least0

I meant running like a maniac, sorry typo.
I don't tend to have an excess of sodium at all and just to make sure it doesn't interfere right now, I switched out one soup I was having for a bigger salad so that I could lower my sodium even more. I'm drinking like a fish. So I'm hoping that those 5 days of being 400-500 under won't make me gain now that Im eating my normal foods again0 -
so, but here's the kicker... if it's just water weight... and you KNOW it's just water weight... who cares if you gain it suddenly while you're getting it together? it'll go away.0

Try to eat lots of veggies also, there is a lot of water in them which will help also. Plus the veggies will keep the sodium down, they will help to fill you up, give you lots of fibre and good nutrients.0

Eating a bowl of veggies (green giant valley fresh steamers are amazing) with a large glass of ice water as I type!!:)0

And I just don't want to gain the water weight...I'd really rather not see that on me/feel yucky of I gain water weight. So I'm trying to avoid that. I guess I'm not like "terrified" of the weight I just reallllly don't want it, if that makes sense0
